Appearance

If you read our review of HTC Desire V, you can already be clear. I like the side of the bottom edge of the screen, which allows you to control the unit blindly, focusing on the tactile sensations. The frame framing, it looks like a metal - I tried to scratch it, it did not work with the go.

The back portion contains a recognizable oval element with a camera, an LED backlight and design "for metal" with diverging concentric circles. At the bottom of the dynamics and reminder of the HTC cooperation with Beats Audio (and, accordingly, special regime Sounds in the player). It is worth noting the excellent material of the back cover - it can be seen that they did not save, to the touch he most likely resembles the flagship HTC One X (we also have its review). It is not soft as Soft Touch, but it is very easy to clean - enough to spend your finger (and, if necessary, to rub). I do not think that the coverage of the cover is steadily for scratches, but it is just a cover.

Hardware controls standard. It is worth saying that the microUSB nest is located on the left, and not from the bottom, but I can not understand who can deliver inconvenience such a decision. The power keys and the volume control are plastic, have a shallow move. They are very responsive, sufficiently light touch. The test sample was noticeably embroidered with a slight compression of the case. I personally do such trifles do not bother me, but there are few users for whom it is critical. I do not know the fact that the sample was the order slaughtered or this is a design problem - to whom it is important, pay attention to it when you buy and that's it.

The camera is choking and starts to shift the chromaticity layers or give artifacts. What looks, how to say, artificially created by the manufacturer, because HTC ONE V, with comparable system performance, scoffs as a machine gun (it's time to get acquainted with his review, if you have not yet done it) until the memory is completed on the card. Add to this restriction in shooting video on the frame size in 800x480 points (ONE V This indicator is at the level of 1280x720), and it will become clear that the word "progress" in the case of a smartphone "transition period" looks like empty sound.

In the camera interface, a group portrait mode appeared, in which the camera automatically tracks faces, then makes a series of frames and combines the most successful faces in the final image (someone blinked, sneezed - we all know that it happens). With comparable performance, the price is higher than 300 hryvnia. And if you pay extra 650, then you can take an excellent LG Optimus L9, which is better in all parameters. Not to mention an interesting Acer Liquid Gallant Duo, which can be bought for the same 2500 hryvnia. True, in the synthetic test of performance, it loses, but in the benchmark browser shows the same results. At the same time, there are no direct competitors from HTC Desire X, although in practice most customers will most likely be considered as a purchase of Samsung Galaxy Ace 2.
