Phillips phones Xenium W6610. Philips Xenium W6610 - specifications. Information about the type of loudspeakers and supported by the audio technology

Today is a review of the editor gG. I got a smartphone, which could be forgive me if not all, then at least much. And all because it has an incredible capacity of an incredible capacity, comparable with tablet analogs - 5300 mAh. True, running in advance, I can say that forgiving Philips Xenium W6610, in general, and nothing - except for considerable dimensions.

Equipment

Not counting the battery, the main advantage of Philips Xenium W6610, I would call the thoughtfulness. There is everything weigly to the smallest detail, and it appears in the box and configuration. On the package itself, the main advantages of the device, inside - all the accessories necessary for the comfortable everyday use. This is I. charger high power (5V, 1,5A), and protective film For the screen. Also included in the kit includes a headset, but it should not be expected to expect something supernatural - these are ordinary plots, even without soft linings, albeit with clothespin on clothes.

In addition, in the configuration of Philips Xenium W6610, I discovered a Coupon Litres with the possibility of free download 5 books.

Appearance

Philips Xenium W6610 Against the background of most modern smartphones looks like a certain monster giant. This is especially noticeable, if you compare it with other 5-inch devices. Although, I can not not notice that, firstly, this is due to the main advantage - a large capacity battery, and secondly, the manufacturer has attached a maximum of effort to hide considerable dimensions of the device and make it convenient to use. So, as a result, when compared with the devices, about the same class, it looks not so much giant.

In particular, the frame on the sides of the screen is made fine visually, and the sidewalls themselves are strongly rounded. The frame from above and under the screen is essentially wider, but thanks to this, the smartphone is not easy in weight can be easily held in hand.

The rear panel is made non-removable, but it has one removable item. It is under it that the slots for two SIM cards and a memory card are hidden. The panel is fixed tightly and does not fly, but the first excavations on its sidewalls first inserting into a stupor - instead of the volume button or turn on the finger stretches to them. In fact, the keys are located just below, and when you get used to the Philips Xenium W6610 slightly, this location seems logical: it is easy to get to the keys to get a finger, you do not need to stretch.

Another point relating to the removable panel: while it is not closed tightly, none of the SIM cards works. Why this is exactly the way, even to assume the bug is or a feature - and it is difficult.

Rear panel contains in yourself standard set From the camera with an outbreak and speaker. I personally liked it, let it be a big rarity that there is a small protrusion over the speaker. That is, even if the smartphone lies on a flat surface, it does not stall.

The additional control is located at the top of the right pane. This well-distinguishable to the touch, tight in its go of the "Runner" allows you to translate the smartphone from the usual mode of operation in economical. On the modes themselves and in general, on the autonomy of the smartphone as a whole, I will stop separately, because there really is about what to tell.

A standard audio jack is located on the top panel. On the bottom - the micro-USB plastic lid is closed.

The most important and interesting detail of the front panel is, of course, the screen. Philips Xenium W6610 used IPS panel with a resolution of 540x960 points. Subjectively, the display is characterized by a good brightness margin, cold range and standard wide viewing angles. A small color change is noticeable only with a sliding view diagonally - so on the one side the gamma goes into the yellow shade, on the other - in blue. But, in practice, the similar effect I observed more than once and from other matrices, and this does not interfere with the smartphone. The resolution can be judged at once from two points of view. On the one hand, it is low and it's kind of lack. On the other hand, it is enough for comfortable work (there is no grainability as such) and at the same time the manufacturer did not have to put a more powerful "iron" to avoid brakes. And this has a positive effect on the duration of work. So in the case of Philips Xenium W6610, I cannot record permission among deficiencies or dubious qualities at all.

As for more strict and dry screen information, it is usually measured on editorial equipment. The color coverage schedule is shifted down, which speaks of cold shades, the color temperature schedule, which jumped far upwards above the reference 6500K. The graph of color components of a monochrome gradient is also very far from the ideal. But the gamma curve is excellent, which indicates that distortions in the transfer of dark and bright areas on the Philips Xenium W6610 display is practically no. The screen brightness is really high, but this is a plus, and minus at the same time. The minus lies in the fact that due to the excessive illumination of the black field, the contrast is turned out to be low.

Among small, but pleasant advantages - the ability to work with the screen in gloves, which is activated by the corresponding function in the smartphone menu. Another feature of the screen is ASAHI Glass Dragontrail II protective glass. I can not say, better or worse, it is standard Gorilla Glass, but for all the time testing and actively wearing with you in the pockets of the backpack (naturally, along with other things), the scratches on the display did not appear. But fingerprints and other pollution - "stick" only so.

Under the screen there are three classic touch buttons - large, comfortable and complemented by backlight. Above the screen is a set of sensors, including the lighting sensor and the approximation sensor. With the last, I have periodically arose problems. Whether because of the large sizes, or because of not the most successful location, the sensor worked adequately only if you press the phone tightly to the ear (which is not very convenient). Without close contact, the Philips W6610 begins to behave not too adequately, and most often I managed to turn on the ear "flight mode", which manually moves to a couple of steps. In general, it remains only to hope that such a problem is purely subjective, but earlier I am with the other large smartphones did not come across.

Performance and opportunity

The heart of Philips Xenium W6610 serves the MediaTek MT6582 processor with the MALI-400MP video screen. The filling is not the most productive, but it is very energy efficient. At the same time, for all the time working with a smartphone of the brackets, it is rare - for example, I noticed one of them when opening a gallery with screenshots and photos. The pictures were loaded long enough, but this happened literally a couple of times - the rest of the time, no problems arose. It easily copes with everyday functions, it looks good in games. In Temple Run 2, I did not notice the lags as such, in Dead Trigger 2, they appeared only in "densely populated scenes", you can also calmly play asphalt 8 in the middle graphics settings. About the "Birds" or "Ohm" type games and there is nothing to say - there are no problems with them. A smartphone is coping with a video and video playback, including in Full HD quality.

The results obtained in testing programs are quite predictable. In 3D Mark, the smartphone received very mediocre assessments: Ice Storm Unlimited counted him 2917 points, Ice Storm Unlimited Extreme - 2046, Ice Storm Unlimited - 2991 score. Modest, but slightly more pleasant results The device has shown in Nena Mark 2 - at the level of 50.1 FPS. This means that the smartphone copes well with 3D and normally - with 2D graphics.

In ANTUTU BENCHMARK, SMARFTON earned17029 points, slightly giving way to the Samsung Galaxy S3. QUADRANT issued 5891 points. Vellamo results are also quite good: in HTML5 1962 mode, i.e., approximately at the same level with Samsung Galaxy S4; And in Metal, the smartphone received a 521 points, again slightly giving way to the Samsung Galaxy S3 and somewhat overtaking with the Galaxy 4, Sony Xperia Z Ultra and HTC One X.

When testing or load, the smartphone is heated by resource-intensive applications. But only in the upper part to which the fingers do not touch the fingers. Given that the heating does not affect the operation of the device, most often for the user it passes at all noticeable.

A couple of words should be said about the sound. Philips Xenium W6610 - a smartphone is quite loud, but I would not recommend it to music lovers. The sound is usual, the average volume in the headphones. In the settings there is a function of adding the volume of Besaudenh, but I would not advise it to activate it. Making the sound is more voluminous, it suppresses low and even to some extent the average frequency, so the sound is very losing in quality.

But the smartphone is pleasantly surprising - it is a camera and an additional software for the processing of shots. The Philips Xenium W6610 has an 8-megapixel camera, which allows you to get quite pleasant pictures on the street and indoors. Autofocus Shours, the skews in the color scheme are, but quite rare - usually, with complex lighting in the room (several light sources with different temperatures).

Example video without effects, sepia, pencil, interval shooting

Front-camera It has a resolution of 2 megapixels, it completely and fully copes with its main task - video chats.

In the camera settings, a variety of effects are provided that can be used not only to photos, but also to videos. There are serial shooting, panorama and even the possibility of voice management.

Various effects and frames can be added to the pictures and in the process of editing them. Transition B. graphics editor Built right into the gallery, in the form of a separate application in the menu I did not find it.

Among the others preset programs: Kingsoft Office, Opera, file manager, video player, voice recorder, video processing utility, Xenium Club application store with the ability to pay applications directly from the mobile account and flashlight. With a flashlight there is one interesting feature - it can be turned on, even without unlocking the smartphone. To do this, it is enough to hold the "Home" button. While you hold it, the device shines the flash. As soon as you let go, the flashlight is instantly quenched. This simultaneously improves the convenience and allows you not to discharge the battery with unnecessary transitions on the smartphone menu.

Among other useful smartphone qualities - work with two SIM cards at the same time, the built-in GPS navigation module, which works quite quickly and support memory cards.

Working hours

And now about the most interesting - autonomy of the smartphone. According to the manufacturer's information, Philips Xenium W6610 is able to hold out to 33 hours in talk mode and up to 16 hours of continuous operation with the Internet. It sounds impressive, but before the start of testing, I honestly, I could not believe that the smartphone would really live: Android - he is android. But everything turned out to be very good.

It so happened that at the time of testing Philips Xenium W6610 I had no actual access to the laptop for several days. So the smartphone had to be used almost for everything and always - for mail, instagram, communication in LJ and social networks, Hangouts and Skype, periodically added to this whole video view (and from a memory card, and from the network), play music and playing games. In general, my usual smartphone would be exhaled after half a day of such use at best. Philips Xenium W6610 calmly lasted two days. Slightly lowering the intensity at the expense of games and video, I achieved confident three days of work, after which there was still 12% of the charge. That is, another day of modest use as a normal phone and readers for mail. If you use a smartphone as a compact video player (with disabled wireless modules), you can count on 14-15 hours of viewing. In the role of the music player, the smartphone can work very and very long: for 10 hours of playing at the volume level, just above the average, it spent about 8% of the charge (without turning on the screen during the process). As an ordinary "dialer" Philips Xenium W6610 is able to live more than a week, unless you get used to the clock "hang on the phone."

To optimize power consumption in Philips Xenium W6610 there is a separate utility with a completely predictable name "Energy Saving Mode" (fully it is not displayed in the menu - apparently too long). In the program, you can see what exactly spend the energy of your smartphone and choose which of the modes will be turned on by the lever on the right pane - by default or user. In the latter, you can configure what exactly and how will work when switching to the state of increased energy efficiency. For example, you can select the brightness level: the minimum value is 8%. It is quite normal to work in the room, albeit somewhat not familiar, but unrealistic for use under the bright sun. You can also turn on the automatic selection of brightness depending on the lighting around.

In addition, in the utility you can set out which of the wireless modules should be left to be active, configure sleep mode and enable auto-connect all running applications. Unfortunately, it is not possible to choose a list of exception programs for this rule, but this is the only minus.

Another point associated with an enlarged battery capacity is charging time. Even considering the complete power charger, for full charging Philips Xenium W6610 requires about 4-5 hours.

In the dry residue

Xenium W6610 perfectly fits into the family of Philips long-lived telephones, and at the same time provides a good productivity supply. Sacrifice the speed of work or the possibilities for the launch of a particular application is not exactly necessary, and the price is quite pleasant for such a device (about 3000 hryvnia). So the question is only in the convenience of use - not everyone will be pleased to use such a big smartphone. If it does not bother you, you have big pockets and you are far from Meloman - it's worth it, analogues and opponents of this device are not so much. Among these can be called except Lenovo P780, and it is conditional. In case of similar productivity and price, it has a smaller battery capacity: 4000 mAh against 5300 mAh in Philips Xenium W6610.

Introduction

Some time ago, I already wrote that the modern situation is as follows: smartphones increase multi-core, the process decreases, the system is optimized, and the energy consumption is reduced not much, sometimes all these frills do not affect energy efficiency at all. Manufacturers go in two ways: the first is to reduce the dimensions of the device and, accordingly, the battery, the second is to increase the size of the case and the battery. And nothing, alas, you can not do this with it.

I think the developers in the Philips team found relatively optimal solution as smartphone Philips. Xenium W6610. Despite the impressive enabarits of the body and the super-shock battery 5300 mAh, the design ergonomics of the device remained at a high level. Therefore, personally, I absolutely did not feel the massiveness of the gadget.

On the network already someone said that if you want to buy a smartphone with a lot of work, you still have to buy Android, despite numerous jokes that the operating system "eats" resources. Philips device W6610 is an example.

In the review I will dwell only at important points, since we have a typical "middling" among the "green tanks".

Design, dimensions, control elements

In the tests of devices from Philips, I often said that they appearance Differs from many other similar devices. Of course, there are exceptions, for example, sorry, completely faceless W3500, but in general, Philips smartphones look pretty original (W7555, W6500) and stylish (W8510).

It did not exception and W6610. Even the front side of the designers were able to sympathize with a black glossy edging, exciting speech speaker. The back side is made of a durable view of a nice blue color. There is even a metal - this is a black plate that closes the various phone slots. Enclosed corners smoothed, sides. I repeat once again that despite the impressive dimensions (145.4 x 74.1 x 11.4 mm) and considerable weight (200 grams), Philips W6610 perfectly lies in his hand and is not felt by the giant bar.

For example, from Highscreen Boost 2 / 2Se is a completely different impression: it is angular, so it is not so nice to keep.

The screen has a dark surface, a glass with a oleophobic coating is protected from above. The finger slides well, the prints are practically not noticeable and easily removed.

There are no problems with the assembly, even the back side does not bend to the battery, and there is no backlash, since the monolithic case, it is only two parts that can be removed: metal plate and micro-usb plug.

In general, the appearance of the W6610 is pleasant, and everything is fine with the assembly, and the body is very strong.

From above in the center there is a speech speaker. Unfortunately, its volume is low, but the intelligibility and transmission of speech cool. The interlocutor is heard clearly, the timbre is closer to the average frequencies, there is no echo, there is no echrot, there is no dynamic in the maximum decibels.

To the left of the speaker - the front camera, on the right - the lighting and approximation sensors, as well as the small indicator of the missed messages (flashes when the call is skipped or SMS, is on the battery red when the battery is charged).

Under the display - the touch buttons "Back", "Home" and "Menu". On the housing, they are marked with dark gray translucent paint. There is a bright backlight, visible in any lighting conditions.

On the lower end there are a microphone and micro-USB under a plastic plug. It closes tightly and does not pop up. On the top - only 3.5 mm audio output.

The volume key, made of black glossy plastic, is located on the left side just above the center. It is very convenient to use, the middle finger exactly falls on the button. On the right - the power button of the same type, slightly recessed into the housing, pressing soft, the move is medium. Above is the branded metal lever switch to power saving mode.

On the back of the way: the camera is recessed into the case, flash and speaker loud communication. Above it is thickening in the case, it is done so that the speaker does not close in case the phone is placed on the horizontal surface.

To remove the metal plate, it must be hired for the removal on the right or on the left. I think the first time you can hardly succeed. Inside the right and on the left there are slots for minisim cards, in the center - a connector for a microSD memory card. As soon as the plate is removed, the device believes that the sim card has been retrieved, but when it is installed back, the parameters are restored.

Connectors for "sim cards" are covered with only one small metal plate, so theoretically, if you want, you can attach and use even MicrosIM cards. Actually, what I did.

Display

This model uses a screen, the diagonal of which is 5 inches. The physical size is 62x110 mm, the frame from above is 19 mm, from the bottom - 15 mm, on the right and on the left - 6 mm. An anti-glare layer is applied to the display surface.

The resolution is not very high for 5 inches - 540x960 (QHD), but pixelization is not striking, as the density is 220 pixels per inch.

The matrix is \u200b\u200btypical for such a kind of devices - IPS with good viewing angles, but under the slopes the screen is very violetite or yellow. The air layer is missing - OGS.

The brightness of the backlight of the screen matrix is \u200b\u200baverage: there is enough room, but I want to make it on the street. In the sun, the matrix almost completely fades, although the anti-reflective coating saves the position a little.

Touch layer of capacitive type exercises up to 5 simultaneous touches. Sensitivity is excellent.

Battery

That, for what, in fact, an overview of the smartphone was treated. PHILIPS Xenium W6610 uses a non-removable lithium-ion (Li-Ion) battery with a capacity of 5300 mAh. By official versionIn idle mode, the device will work up to 1600 hours, and in a conversation mode - up to 33 hours.

If you use the phone about 40 hours, the battery will be completely discharged, provided: 20-25 minutes of conversations per day, 8 hours of using Wi-Fi Internet (Twitter, Mail, application download and their installation), about 7 hours of mobile Internet and clock pair listening to music.

You can listen to only music for 65 hours, watch only video (maximum screen brightness, high volume, film resolution - HD 720p) - just under 10 hours. If you want to play toys (such as Asphalt 8), then the energy also does not have to save - the battery will die only 4 hours!

From a USB battery charging for a very long time - for 10 hours, from the network adapter, too, in addition to 3.5 - 4 hours.

Test Antutu. Tester shows the result of 1600 points, which is more than the result of Highscreen Boost Boost 2 / 2Se.

Communication capabilities

Smartphone operates in 2G cellular networks (GSM / GPRS / EDGE, 900/1800/1900 MHz) and 3G (900/2100 MHz). There are two sim machines: both can work in 3G.

In stock Bluetooth version 4.0 for file transfer and speech. There is a Wi-Fi IEEE 802.11 B / G / N wireless. The device, of course, can be involved as an access point (Wi-Fi Hotspot) or modem.

In the device there is a GPS. It functions badly. During testing, it was not possible to force it to work adequately: on cellular and Wi-Fi networks, it is thin poorly determines the approximate location, and only the GPS does not want. Perhaps such an instance of the phone was caught.

Memory and memory card

Inside, 1 GB of RAM is installed, on average there are quite quite a lot - about 550 - 650 MB.

Flash memory is not enough. Only 4 GB, of which 1.72 GB for data storage, approximately 1 GB to install applications. There is a slot to map microSd memory.

Camera

The Philips Xenium W6610 uses two chambers modules: the main one is 8 megapixel, frontal - on 2 megapixels. There is a single-section LED flash.

Aperture of the main chamber - F2.2. Not bad light, but it does not play, in essence, no role, since the smartphone removes frames of mediocre quality. The main claims are reduced to a narrow dynamic range and low sharpness.

The video smartphone writes in fullHD resolution at 15 k / s. The front camera is 640x480 pixels at 18 k / s.

A rear camera takes pictures very dignified, "Selfie" will be successful. Aperture of the front camera - F2.8.

Performance and software platform

Most similar devices have a Taiwanese MediaTek chip. Philips Xenium W6610 smartphone has not exceeded. It has recently used the most common MT6582 chipset among state employees: Cortex-A7 processor, 28 Nm, 4 cores of 1.3 GHz, MALI-400MP2 graphics accelerator with clock frequent 400 MHz.

For comfortable operation, the device of this processor is enough with interest. With games there are problems, but only with powerful type asphalt 8. The device is not buggy, does not slow down, works relatively smoothly.

brief information About phone settings and performance tests (Quadrant, Antutu, OpenGL 2.0):

In the device installed operating google system Android ancient version 4.2.2. Not sure that 4.3 will be released, and even more than 4.4. Although I personally do not see any sense in them, especially in low-cost gadgets. Branded shell, in fact, there is no here.

Philips Xenium W6610 cannot boast compact or low weight, it is a very large and heavy five-year-old smartphone. The appearance of the device is simple and unacceptable, the only thing that looks like is a narrow removable metal bracket on the rear panel. There are two slots under it: for mini-SIM and for memory card. The rest of the body is plastic. The quality of the assembly did not cause us complaints: the monolithic case does not bend, it is not suggested, nothing is not peeled and everything comes tightly.

The dimensions of the Philips Xenium W6610 phone - 145.4 × 74.2 × 11.9 mm, and the weight is 200 grams, by the way, is heavier only six-inhamal lights. Use such a giant in one hand is uncomfortable. But the location of the buttons is more successful than that of its direct competitor - Lenovo P780: Do not have anywhere else, and the volume swings and the power button are located on the sides and not as high as Lenovo P780. Sizes and weight are compensated by an extremely tank, a non-removable battery by 5300 mAh. Need a great time of autonomous work? We will have to put up with such dimensions.

Screen - 3.4.

Philips Xenium W6610 Display Diagonal - 5 inches, modest screen resolution - 960 × 540 points, the PPI - 220 value is noticeably lower than that of Lenovo P780, the type of matrix - IPS. The display is covered with a protective glass, but the screen is not protected from spots and divorces. On such a display, pixelization is visible, and the maximum brightness is average (314 cd / m2) and is inferior to flagships and not only. You will be problematic reading something from the screen in the sun.

The device is available to automatically adjust the brightness, we checked it, it triggers adequately, but long. The screen has medium viewing angles, natural colors, but at an angle they are noticeably distorted. To our surprise, the phone has a mode of operation in gloves, only hidden it is not in the display settings, but in special. opportunities.

PHILIPS XENIUM W6610 Display Color Research Angles. As can be seen on the test image from above, the viewing angles are difficult to name wide. The gradations of black merge with each other, and the raspberry color at the corners begins to blush. Due to the fact that the brightness falls quickly with deviation, the shades of the blue colors merge and go to the "darkness". Read more about test.

Camera

In the Philips Xenium W6610 smartphone, cameras are installed on 8 and 2 mp. The main chamber is equipped with a LED flash, autofocus, smiles recognition, HDR and, typical for Android, interface. Maximum photo resolution - 3264 per 2448 pixels. The quality of the photographs taken is low, as a rule, they lack sharpness. We even had the feeling that the photos were removed not at 8 megapixel chamber, but by 5 megapixel, if not less.

Maximum resolution during video photography - 1920 × 1080 pixels, with a recording speed of only 15 k / s, the sound is written in stereo mode, there is no tracking autofocus, only focusing by pressing. The smartphone also has a front camera that removes the photo in a resolution of 1600 per 1200 pixels and video 640 × 480, but not 15, but 18 k / s. In general, Philips Xenium W6610 cameras, in our opinion, leave much to be desired.

Working with text - 1.0

The manufacturer did not install his own keyboard on the smartphone, the built-in keyboard from Google is used. Of the advantages, we note a large diagonal, convenient location of the keys, the ability fast set Hold the keys from the top row. Among the disadvantages, we note a poor dictionary in the keyboard that does not know many Russian words, so, in the event of an error when entering, the keyboard is unlikely to automatically correct the typo.

Internet - 5.0

In this case, you provide a wide selection of pre-installed browsers: this is the standard "browser", and Google Chrome, and Opera. Opera has a reading and auto-tuning mode of text, in Chrome - synchronization of tabs with a desktop version. In the "browser" and chrome, there is a page text scaling for a single one, in advance selected, size.

Interfaces

The Philips Xenium W6610 contains the following interfaces: Wi-Fi (B / G / N) (Support for two-band Wi-Fi is absent) with the ability to distribute the Internet, Bluetooth V 3.0 and A-GPS. It seems that everything is needed, but in fact, the interfaces work badly, at a distance of 10-12 meters from the router, the smartphone has already begun to gradually lose the Wi-Fi signal. GPS, in our opinion, here for a tick - the first start was held for a very long time, it took 6 minutes so that Philips Xenium W6610 could determine its coordinates. Even the Micro-USB connector does not support USB OTG, so do not count the external devices to it. In general, according to this parameter, the solid disappointment, even during the phone call, the smartphone significantly phonites.

Multimedia - 4.2.

We tried to play various video files on Philips Xenium W6610: the smartphone supports the playback of most formats and codecs, including MKV format. Roller resolution can be up to 1080p inclusive. The audio player in the smartphone loses MP3, AAC, WAV, FLAC formats. In our opinion, Philips W6610 could be used as a laptop video and an audio player if it were not for its large sizes.

Battery - 5.0

Autonomous time is what you can forgive both dimensions and bad interfaces, and a bad display. In the smartphone installed a fixed lithium-ion battery with a capacity of as many as 5300 mAh. If you compare with competitors, we note that Lenovo P780 the battery capacity is 4000 mAh, and Highscreen Boost 2 SE is 6000 mAh. In our tests, the smartphone demonstrates excellent autonomous operations: when viewing HD video on the maximum brightness, the device is discharged for 12 hours, and when listening to music - for 134 hours! These are excellent results, one of the best in our tests.

Performance - 2.1.

The Philips Xenium W6610 uses a MEDIATEK 6582 platform with a quad-core processor operating at a frequency of 1.3 GHz, the graphic subsystem - Mali400-MP2, the amount of RAM - 1 GB. At the moment, MediaTek MT6582 chipsets are a good budget solution for smartphones with such a resolution, like Philips Xenium W6610. The device copes perfectly with everyday tasks. We also drove several benchmarks, in the Ice Storm Unlimited test I received 2900 points, in Antutu - 16905, to which Benchmark said that Philips Xenium W6610 is a "good choice." The results of benchmarks turned out to be slightly higher than Lenovo P780.

Memory - 5.0

The amount of built-in memory in Philips Xenium W6610 is 4 GB, the user is available to 1.7 GB, it is very small! There is a memory card slot, cards up to 32 GB are supported. It is possible hot replacement: you can insert a memory card without turning off the device, but your smartphone needs some time to figure out and start reading the card.

Features

What is special here? Of course, a very capacious battery, support for two SIM cards, the presence of a mode to work with the display in gloves. The device has an unbearable case, only a small piece of the lid is removed. The Philips Xenium W6610 is pre-installed at once 3 browser, there is a file manager, a flashlight and power saving mode, which can be enabled by a separate button on the phone housing.

Review and detailed testing of one of the most "long-playing" smartphones on the market

One of the most popular smartphones from users who put the duration of the battery life of their mobile devices at the lead of the corner, has recently been a very uncommon "long-playing" communicator Lenovo P780, which we once published. Actually, all previous smartphones of this Lenovo line were oriented precisely as much as possible without recharging. The same focus of the enconitor was traced from another series - Philips Xenium. The names of mobile devices of this line traditionally come to mind when it comes to record high durable Autonomous work, and this tradition stretches from the time when the smartphones did not exist in the world, and there were regular mobile phones with buttons and small non-sensory screens. Trademark Philips in the field of mobile manufacturing production has long been sold to China, but the Chinese successors used correctly used her legacy, and the Xenium series is still famous for its wonderful opportunities for long work without recharging. Recently, a new representative of this lineup appeared on the world, which was called Philips Xenium W6610 and we will tell you today.

Following the requirements of the modern market, this mobile device is not only ready to offer its owner as long as possible autonomous work, but also has all the necessary qualities inherent in the modern smartphone: great touch screen, quad-core processor, as well as a popular Google Android operating system, albeit not the latest version. In comparison with the same above Lenovo P780, the Philips apparatus in the dirt will not hit the face, and in some way he even exceeds its opponent - at least for a number of technical characteristics. This, by the way, causes an additional interest in this device, because earlier, smartphones The Xenium series was often sufficiently weak in the technical plan, "sharpened" under the only task - to provide a very long connection for their owner (by the way, not always uninterrupted, because it was often a sacrifice of the maximum energy saving of the battery even the sensitivity of the radio module). Today we have the opportunity not only to compare the two most "long-playing" smartphones on the market, but also find out whether the new Philips Xenium lineup is really worthwhile to wear a smartphone that meets all the modern requirements of the electoiled user of the XXI century.

Appearance and ease of use

In its appearance, the Philips Xenium W6610 smartphone is a very overall and very heavy mobile device, the sizes and the mass of which are far over the invisible feature, until the achievement of which you can still talk about the smartphone, as a device that is comfortable. This device Only a person of unusual physique can use comfortably, because, no matter how cool, Philips Xenium W6610 turned out to be very heavy and large for the usual average human hand.

You can't call beautiful and stylish this unit too: we have enough easy-to-design, sullen-type plastic monoblock solution without any noticeable jewelry or interesting details. The only detail standing in appearance is a strange metal bracket on the back of the housing, which closes the slots with SIM cards and the memory card. However, this element rather spoils the appearance, and does not attach it to him. With the total total plastic plastic case, this metal bracket of a rather thick section looks ridiculous and sufficiently roughly, besides, it is extremely difficult to remove, which causes even greater irritation. It is difficult to say, what thoughts a designer was guided by creating this "bar", but it is unlikely that such a discovery will have to do so. It would be better if the creators took care of the decrease in the thickness of the hull, which is very pretty here and reaches eleven millimeters, or about weight, which is also redundant and exceeded 200 grams. However, it is clear that in many respects such parameters are due to the huge capacity of the built-in battery. In the oscincion, none of the representatives of the Xenium lineup did not differ in the grace of design, so expecting other from the new model of the series, probably, and did not cost.

Most of the housing is the rear panel and all sidewalls - made of plastic with matte, solid, but not rough surface. The rubberized effect of Soft-Touch is not, however, and the philips Xenium W6610 will not call a slippery case. He is also not marking, the prints on the body of the device remains a bit.

But a very brand is the front panel: the protective glass has a sufficiently poorly manifested fat-repellent coating, so that the front of the smartphone always looks slight and stained.

Under the metal screw, which passes the entire rear panel achanter, the two-chant melanchimetime band, hid three slots for cards (two for SIM cards and one for a microSD memory card). Both SIM card slots include the installation of MINI-SIM cards (that is, the "old" sample), the cards in all slots are installed without spring-load capture mechanisms. Although any of the cards can be removed at any time and install it, the hot replacement is not supported, so you have to restart the device. SIM card slots are absolutely equivalent in their capabilities: In any of them, the card can operate both in 2G mode and in 3G, but only one SIM card can operate at a time in 3G mode.

In addition to the unusually realized compartment for cards, open which is very difficult, there are also more familiar elements on the rear surface: the round window of the rear camera, the peephole of a single-section LED flash, capable of performing the role of a flashlight, and also a slot in the lower part, which hides the call speaker . There is no possibility to get to the battery, because the housing is unbearable, and no other covers (except for a bracket, covering slots for cards) on it.

The entire front panel of the smartphone is completely covered with a protective glass that is resistant to the appearance of scratches. This Dragontrail II glass produced by the Japanese company ASAHI is an analogous to the famous Chinese Corning Gorilla Glass. From above under the glass hide the eyes of the front camera and sensors, the longitudinal slot is cut here, covered with a chrome-plated grid conversational speaker. Under the screen are located in a series of three system management buttons and applications. Buttons, naturally, touch, hardware, they have a sufficiently bright white backlight without the possibility of any adjustment.

There is a very useful element with a smartphone, a LED, traditionally located in the dynamics lattice area and luminous through it with various colors for warning about charging and incoming messages. The indicator is not too bright and completely irritating.

As for the mechanical elements of control, they turned out to be more on the Philips Xenium W6610 case than usual. In addition to the traditional buttons for locking and adjusting the volume, on one of the side faces, the developers have placed an unusual element - a mechanical switch of electricity saving modes. That is, literally in one lightning movement, you can translate your smartphone into an energy-saving mode, shifting this mechanical slider. The idea, in principle, is not deprived of meaning: read / play / watch a movie at home can be in "full-fledged" mode, and if necessary, go somewhere when the smartphone is needed only to stay in touch, it can be quickly switched to energy-saving mode , not even getting out of the pocket (not to mention the unlocking screen and pull the finger in the settings). However, now almost every self-respecting manufacturer equips its mobile devices by those or other energy saving modes, they are all turning on in conventional method - through the settings menu, and in general, no particular difficulties cause this process. In the end, power saving mode is not an SOS alarm mode: it is not necessary to include instant movement in moments of danger. So the mechanical slider in Philips Xenium W6610 is most likely the symbol of the "long-playing" device than real useful element. By the way, the energy-saving mode does not particularly represent anything special here, and against the background of the finds of Samsung and others. With their black and white interface, it looks unappropriate.

The remaining two buttons on the side edges of the case look more traditionally: these are quite large plastic keys, soft and pliable, but little disappearing outside the housing - to pinch them quite complicated. Well, at least that the power key and lock placed not in the upper end, but on the right sidewall, where the place is.

The Micro-USB universal connector here is closed with a plastic lid, despite the fact that the device does not have protection against water and dust, and the audio output on the opposite end does not close any plugs. This is a strange and fairly inconvenient solution: not only you have to open this unnecessary cover, so it is still necessary and formed so that it does not interfere with enter the cable connector. The solution is unsuccessful, it is not clear what dictated, and this lid wants to tear it away forever. It is curious that the connector is also organized and at the competing Lenovo P780, as if these two smartphones have the same designer - a fan of useless covers.

Speaking about the Micro-USB connector, at the same time we note that the smartphone does not support the connection mode to it external devices (OTG, USB Host). The hole for fastening the strap here, as in the absolute majority of modern mobile devices, is also missing.

As for the color options of the case, then different, except for dark blue (this smartphone and is represented in our pictures), it seems there are no - at least on official sale now you can meet Philips Xenium W6610 only of this color.

Screen

The Philips Xenium W6610 smartphone is equipped with a sensor IPS-matrix size of 62 × 110 mm with a diagonal of 127 mm (5 inches), a resolution of 960 × 540 points, which gives the pixel density of 220 PPI.

The brightness of the display has both manual and automatic adjustment, the latter is based on the operation of the lighting sensor. Multitouch technology here allows you to process up to 5 simultaneous touches. The smartphone has a standard approximation sensor that blocks the screen when making a smartphone to the ear. The display is covered with protective glass Asahi Glass Dragontrail II. The mode of working with the screen in gloves is supported, this feature can be separately disabled in the Special Settings section - not in the screen on the screen.

A detailed examination of the screen using measuring instruments was conducted by the editor of the "Monitors" and "Projectors and TV" sections of Alexey Kudryavtsev. We present his expert opinion.

The front surface of the screen is made in the form of a glass plate with a mirror-smooth surface resistant to the appearance of scratches. Judging by the reflection of objects, there is an effective anti-glare filter, which is not worse to reduce the brightness of the reflection, than Google Nexus 7 (2013) (hereinafter just Nexus 7). For clarity, we give a photo on which the white surface is reflected in the screens (left - Nexus 7, right - Philips W6610, then they can be distinguished by size):

The screen in Philips W6610 is slightly darker (brightness of photographs 89 against 93 at Nexus 7). Two reflected objects in the Philips screen W6610 is very weak, this suggests that between the layers of the screen (more specifically between the outer glass and the surface of the LCD matrix) there is no airbag (OGS-One Glass Solution type screen). Due to the smaller number of boundaries (type of glass-air) with highly different refractive ratios, such screens look better in conditions of strong external illumination, but their repairs in the case of cracked exterior glass costs much more expensive, since it is necessary to change the entire screen. On the outer surface of the screen there is a special oleophobic (fat-repellent) coating (efficient, but still worse than Nexus 7), so traces of fingers are removed easier, and appear at a lower rate than in the case of conventional glass.

When manually controlling the brightness and when the white field is output, the maximum brightness value was about 450 kD / m², the minimum - 50 cd / m². The maximum brightness is high, it means, given the effective anti-glare filter, readability even on a sunny day outside the room should be at a good level. In complete darkness, brightness can be reduced to a comfortable level. In the presence of automatic brightness adjustment over the illumination sensor (it is to the right and below the slot of the front loudspeaker). In automatic mode, when changing external light conditions, the screen brightness is rising, and decreases. In complete darkness in automatic mode, the brightness decreases to 50 kD / m² (read comfortable), in conditions of an artificial light of an office (approximately 400 lux), the brightness is set to 120 cd / m² (acceptable), in a brightly lit surround (corresponds to the lighting clear outside Premises, but without direct sunlight - 20,000 LCs or a little more) - rises to 450 cd / m², that is, to a maximum. As a result, the function of the auto-adjustment of the brightness works absolutely adequately. At any level of brightness, the significant modulation of the backlight is practically absent, so there is no screening of the screen.

This smartphone uses an IPS type matrix. Micrographs demonstrate a typical structure of subpixels for IPS:

For comparison, you can familiarize yourself with the micrographic gallery of the screens used in mobile technology.

The screen has good viewing angles without a significant shift of colors with reasonable viewing deviations from perpendicular to the screen and without inverting shades (the stern of the most darker with the rejection of the left side). To compare, we give the photos on which the same images are displayed on the Philips W6610 and Nexus 7 screens, while the brightness of the screens is initially installed about 200 kD / m². Perpendicular to screens White field:

We note the good uniformity of the brightness and color tone of the white field (when photographing the color balance is forcibly set to 6500 K). And test picture:

The color rendition is good and color saturated from both screens, although there are differences in the color balance. Now at an angle of about 45 degrees to the plane and to the side of the screen:

It can be seen that in the case of Philips W6610, the screen under this angle has become a little yellow and the contrast has noticeably decreased due to a significant increase in the level of black. And white field:

The brightness at an angle at the screens decreased (at least five times, based on the difference in excerpt), but in the case of Philips W6610, the brightness drop is slightly smaller. The black field when the diagonal is deviated to the diagonal, the violet or light red-purple shade is highlighted. The photos below are demonstrated (the brightness of white areas in the perpendicular plane of the screens direction at the screens of the same!):

And at a different angle:

With perpendicular view, the uniformity of the black field is good, but not perfect, because in a pair of places around the edge, black color is a little light:

Contrast (approximately in the center of the screen) is normal - about 800: 1. Response time when switching black-white-black is 27 ms (15 ms incl. + 12 ms off.). The transition between halftons of gray 25% and 75% (for the numerical color value) and back in total it takes 44 ms. The gamma curve built in 32 points did not reveal in neither lights or in the shadows. The indicator of the approximating power function is 2.31, which is slightly higher than the standard value of 2.2. At the same time, the real gamma curve deviates little from power dependence:

Color coverage is close to SRGB:

The spectra show that the matrix light filters to moderately mix the components to each other:

As a result, visually colors have natural saturation. The balance of shades on the gray scale is good, since the color temperature is slightly higher than the standard 6500 K and deviation from the spectrum of absolutely black bodies (ΔE) less than 10, which is considered a good indicator for the consumer device. In this case, the color temperature and Δe change little from the shade to the shade - this has a positive effect on the visual assessment of the color balance. (The darkest areas of the gray scale can not be considered, since there the balance of colors does not matter, and the measurement error of the color characteristics on the low brightness is large.)

Let's summarize: the screen has a high maximum brightness and an effective anti-glare filter, so a smartphone without problems can be used outside the room even a summer sunny day. In complete dark, brightness can be reduced to a comfortable value. It is permissible to use the mode with an automatic adjustment of the brightness that works adequately. The advantages of the screen should include a oleophobic coating, no flicker and air gap in the screen layers, a good black field uniformity, close to SRGB color coverage and a good color balance. The main disadvantage is the low stability of black to the rejection of the view from the perpendicular to the plane of the screen. Nevertheless, in general, the quality of the screen is high.

Sound

Sound opportunities have a medium smartphone. The call speaker is not very loud, at the maximum level it makes a sound with a predominance of ringing high frequencies - there are no bass here at all. Due to the fact that the ticking dynamics grille is drawn in the back side, the sound is also significantly muted when the machine lies on the table on the screen up. In any case, Philips Xenium W6610 is not a musical solution, and in the program plan, the manufacturer limited himself to installing the standard Play Music application.

Camera

Philips Xenium W6610 is standardly equipped with two digital camera modules. The front camera here has a sensor with a resolution of 2 MP without autofocus and flash - the maximum dimensions of the image received are 1600 × 1200.

The main, rear camera is equipped with an 8-megapixel module with a LED flash, there is an automatic and manual focus. Maximum sizes are obtained by resolution of 3264 × 2448. You can use how to shoot virtual button On the screen, and the hardware mechanical key of the volume adjustment is in the activated camera mode, it is responsible for the shutter function. The settings menu is a classic, familiar to other smartphones in which manufacturers have not complemented Android OS by any own brand shells.

The camera can shoot a video, a choice of several permissions to the maximum to 1920 × 1088 are provided. An example of the received rollers is presented below.

  • Roller # 1 (27 MB, 1920 × 1088)

Examples of photos with our comments are presented below.

Poor sharpness due to optics or low real permission.

Again the same problem is the same bad sharpness of almost all over the frame field.

Macro movement manages a camera much better than common plans.

Judging by the good sharpness of small parts, the assumption of interpolation can be discarded.

Most likely, there is a chamber and focusing problems, once even macro photography is not always equally well.

Even if we assume that the camera really has 8 MP, which is certainly impossible to say in general plans, it still removes it all as low. Macro shot she managed not bad, from which it can be concluded that she will cope with the text well. Oddly, almost all noticeable chamber disadvantages disappear during macro shot. It seems that the pictures of general plans and macro are made by different cameras. It is difficult to say what exactly the reason for such significant differences is, but this definitely has an optics. Perhaps the chamber has a focusing problem for infinity (the lens is set inaccurate or poor-quality optics and autofocus). According to the general plans, it can be assumed that in fact the camera has a maximum of 4 megapixel, if not 2. on macro camerges such a low permission may well be unnoticed, although not visible explicit interpolation traces.

In general, it is possible to conclude with a certain confidence that the camera is suitable for shooting macro or text, but hardly for something more.

Telephone part and communication

Smartphone standard works in modern networks 2G GSM and 3G WCDMA; Support for fourth generation networks (LTE) No. The range of Wi-Fi 5 GHz is not supported, NFC technology support is also not. You can standardly organize a wireless point through Wi-Fi or Bluetooth channels, there is a Wi-Fi Direct mode. The navigation module only supports GPS / A-GPS - with domestic system GLONASS does not work the machine. TO gPS work Many users have complaints: communication with satellites is settled for a long time, the signal is often broken down on the way, the satellites smartphone sees little, in general, such unstable work should warn those for whom navigation is daily used and vital function.

Having freezes or spontaneous reboots / shutdowns during testing time was not observed, the interface works smoothly and without jerks - there are no complaints here. The screen is large, so the drawing of letters and numbers of virtual keyboards is quite comfortable for control. Layout and location of the Standard keys: Language switching here is carried out by pressing the button with the image of the globe, the highlighted top row with numbers is not there, you need to switch the layout with the letters to the numbers and back. The phone application supports Smart Dial, that is, during a set telephone number Immediately, the search first letters in contacts. The possibility of entering the slip from the letter to the letter (SWYPE) is not provided here.

The smartphone supports working with two SIM cards, and in general, working with them in the menu is organized by a familiar principle: you can assign any of the SIM cards to organize voice calls, data transmission or sending SMS messages. When the number dialing, you can also select the desired card by calling the context menu from the notifications menu. With 3G networks, a SIM card can work in any slot, but at the same time in this mode only one of the cards can work (the second will only work in 2G). To change the settings of the slots of the card, you do not need to change places - it can be done directly from the phone menu. Working with two SIM cards is organized by the familiar DUAL standard SIM Dual. Standby, when both maps can be in active standby mode, but simultaneously work cannot be - a radio module here is only one.

Performance

The Philips Xenium W6610 hardware platform is based on a single-grip system (SOC) MEDIATEK MT6582. The central processor here has 4 Arm Cortex-A7 kernels operating at a frequency of 1.3 GHz. RAM in the device is provided 1 GB, and the repository accessible to the user is about 1.7 GB from nominally designated 4 GB. Under the OS itself and applications, about 1 GB is allocated here from the same 4 GB of total memory.

As for the GPU (Graphic subsystem), it is the case with it: at that moment, when the MT6582 platform was still announced, the developers promised the PowerVR SGX544MP video accelerator in it, even there is an appropriate scheme. However, as a result, the SOC MediaTek MT6582 was still another model GPU, ARM Mali400-MP2 (operating per 500 MHz). Due to the faster graphics subsystem, MediaTek MT6582 manifests itself in tests better than MediaTek MT6589 with PowerVR SGX544MP inside.

The smartphone supports the ability to expand memory due to microSD cards, but the ability to connect external devices to uSB port (USB Host, USB OTG) - mice, keyboards and flash drives, here, unfortunately, no.

To get an idea of \u200b\u200bthe performance of the platform of the test smartphone, we will carry out a standard set of tests.

All the results obtained by us when testing the smartphone in the most recent versions of popular benchmarks, we are conveniently reduced to the table. The table usually adds several other devices from various segments, also tested on similar recent versions of benchmarks (this is done only for a visual assessment of the resulting dry numbers). Unfortunately, within the framework of the same comparison, it is impossible to submit results from different versions of the benchmarks, so "for the scenes" there are many decent and actual models - due to the fact that they at one time passed the "obstacles' band" on previous versions of test programs.

The MediaTek MT6582 hardware platform used in the smartphone is most suitable for the Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 - the same 4 kernels ARM Cortex-A7 in it. The Qualcomm platform traditionally turns out to be a little more powerful, so it is not surprising that Snapdragon 400 with a 1.2 GHz nuclei frequency showed the results better than MediaTek MT6582 with a frequency of 1.3 GHz of the same nuclei - at the same time the more advanced graphics subsystem Adreno also affects. In the graphic tests and the GPU Adreno 305 pages in Qualcomm Snapdragon 400, the ARM Mali400-MP2 video message is unambiguously ahead, albeit slightly. If you compare two relative platforms of Taiwanese MediaTek, then thanks to a slightly faster MEDIATEK MT6582 graph, it turns out to be preferable than MediaTek MT6589 (and even the most advanced MT6589T configuration).

In general, according to the results obtained during testing, the Philips Xenium W6610 smartphone demonstrated quite expected average (even slightly lower than average) performance indicators - at the level of the previously tested devices, the work of which is organized on the Taiwanese MEDIATEK quad-core platform and its modifications. However, its main competitor, Lenovo P780, working on the older MT6589 platform, Philips Xenium W6610 was ahead in all tests, and not least due to the faster GPU.

Test results in browser benchmarks:

As for the benchmarks to estimate the speed of the JavaScript engine, it is necessary to always make a discount on the fact that they are significantly dependent on the browser in them, in which the comparison can be truly correct only on the same OS and browsers, and such an opportunity is available when testing not always. In the case of smartphones on Android OS, we always try to carry out measurements using Google Chrome.

Video playback

To test the "omnivities" when playing video (including support for various codecs, containers and special featuresFor example, subtitles) We used the most common formats that constitute the bulk of the content available on the content network. Note that for mobile devices it is important to have the support of hardware decoding of videos at the chip level, since to process modern options due to the processor nuclei are most often impossible. Also, it is not necessary to wait from the mobile device of decoding everything, since the leadership in flexibility belongs to PC, and no one is going to challenge it.

According to test results, the subject did not turn out to be equipped with all the necessary decoders, in this case the sound, which are necessary for the full play of the majority of the most common files. To successfully play their playback, you will have to resort to the help of a third-party player - for example, MX Player. True, and it will have to first change the settings by switching from hardware decoding to software or in a new mode called Hardware +. (It is not supported by all smartphones), only then sound will appear. All results are reduced to a single table.

To test the display of the video files on the screen itself, we used a set of test files moving to one division for a frame with an arrow and a rectangle (see "Method for testing reproducing devices and displaying a video signal. Version 1 (for mobile devices) Red markers indicate possible problems, Related to playback of relevant files.

By the output criterion, the quality of video files on the screen of the smartphone itself is good, since frames (or frames of frames) can be output with more or less uniform intervals and without frames, with the exception of files with 60 frames / s. In general, it seems that in this screen, in order to reduce energy consumption, the update frequency is reduced to 50 Hz relative to the usual 60 Hz. When playing video files with the aspect ratio of 16: 9 (720p and 1080p), the image of the video file is output exactly along the screen border. The brightness range displayed on the screen corresponds to the standard range of 16-235 - in the shadows and in the lights displays all gradations of shades.

Battery life

The capacity of the lithium-ion battery installed in Philips Xenium W6610 is unprecedented for a smartphone and more suitable to some tablet 5300 mA · h. Accordingly, in all testing modes, the device showed miracles of long-life, becoming a record holder in the duration of autonomous work along with another "long-playing" device - Lenovo P780.

Uninterrupted reading in the FBReader program (with a standard, light theme) with a minimum comfortable level of brightness (the brightness was set per 100 cd / m²) lasted to the full battery discharge for more than 33 hours, and when you continuously view video from YouTube in high quality (HQ) with the same brightness level through home network Wi-Fi apparatus lasted 18.5 hours - these are incredible indicators for a conventional smartphone. The developers themselves promise up to 33 hours of talk mode and up to 50 days in standby mode. Of course, these are idealized, hard-to-mind in real life figures, but in any case, Philips Xenium W6610 is definitely one of the best Android smartphones on the market in the duration of autonomous work.

Outcome

Currently, the official value of Philips Xenium W6610 in our stores was set at a level of 10 thousand rubles, and for a unattended apparatus, it is possible to give it less than - thousands of nine. In this matter, with the competing model of Lenovo P780 are not quite in equal conditions, since for the certified Lenovo apparatus in official stores are now asked about 13 thousand. At the same time, no particular advantages at the Lenovo smartphone, perhaps, no - for most technical characteristics Philips Xenium W6610 looks preferable, and the fame and reputation of these brands (after the sale of the Philips brand in China) are quite comparable. As for design and appearance, both devices are in approximately equal conditions: both of them do not shine beauty, are not particularly attractive or stylish devices, and for sure most of their admirers choose these smartphones mainly for the utilitarian component - the record long time of their autonomous Work.

In terms of hardware capabilities and technical equipment, the Philips Xenium W6610 smartphone turned out to be a not a remarkable model, but at the same time and to complain here particularly nothing. The arrangement of the stars from heaven is not enough, but for most characteristics it turned out quite decent, not too pretty, but the tailored, and at the same time inexpensive smartphone With two SIM cards and a large five-year screen. It is the screen size that seems to be the most obvious disadvantage of the device: the majority of users who dream of an infinitely worker working without recharging the smartphone, do not greet the expansion of displays to such large dimensions - it is enough to read numerous reviews on any of the listed models. So the screen of Philips Xenium W6610 just could be done and smaller, as a result of which the smartphone itself would look more careful and elegant.

Otherwise, the Philips Xenium W6610 characteristics are quite modest: the device has an average performance, weak quality photo / video filming, it is not too suitable for advanced game entertainment, although free time can sometimes pass for not the most demanding of them. First of all, the smartphone is valuable with the ability to become a reliable mobile assistant in organizing a large number of daily affairs, and not its multimedia component. But the owner of this unit will not exactly not be worried about whether it will reach mobile assistant Before the next socket, even if a large number of long calls are performed during the day. For such people, Philips Xenium W6610 is simply a unique find, which is fully confirmed by a high level of user interest in this unit.
