The first step when setting up any router is its connection to a computer or another device from which the parameters will be changed. There is no fundamental difference in whether to configure access with the connection of the cable or goifi. But at the same time, for the first connection to the WiFi router, the system will need to enter data for authorization in a wireless network. To clarify them, as a rule, you can on the bottom panel of the device itself, on a separate sticker.

In some WiFi router models, the default network works without encryption. This means that anyone can connect to the wireless Internet, and the data you send via the network can be intercepted. It is recommended to change these settings after you log in.

Where to find out the data for entering the router

The second step to enter the settings is to refine the account of the account. Almost all routers have an authorization mechanism that prohibits access to the control panel without entering a password. In order to go to the router, the following information will be required:

Standard username and password on most router models: admin. If the router has been rewinding the provider, the new entry data may be indicated on the package of the device itself or in the contract.

How to open a router control panel

When all data for entering the settings are known, you can go to the third, final step. Open any Internet browser and enter the address received on the last step. As a rule, it will be an IP - a combination of four sets of numbers separated by dots (for example, 192.168.0.1). But the usual Internet address is also possible - the site name and domain zone (in TP-Link routers: tplinklogin.net).

If a universal address is used, the redirect to the IP address of the router will be automatically produced.

After switching to the browser window entered, requests login and password entry to enter the settings. Enter the necessary data and click "Login". If it does not work as standard data (an authorization error occurs), then the username / password changed earlier. It is recommended to reset the device settings using the button located on the rear panel. This button can be internal - do not go beyond the front panel, so you can press it with a closet or toothpick. After resetting the settings of the device, repeat authorization using standard data to enter.

When the entrance to the router is executed, statistics will be displayed at the control panel. Part of the routers also redirects the user in the quick setup menu if the admission to the admin panel is performed for the first time.
