Alcatel One Touch Idol Mini is made in similar with other Alcatel One Touch Idol style models and it is good. The design of the smartphone is recognizable and original. The corpus is uncalapping, well-assembled and very thin, the thickness of only 7.9 mm. The length of the smartphone is 127.1 mm, the width is 62 mm, and the weight is 97 grams. With such parameters, the smartphone is practically not felt in pocket pants.

The location of the keys and interfaces are the following: at the top on the front panel there is a lighting sensor, approximation, voice speaker, front camera by 0.3 mp and the missed event indicator. At the bottom of the front panel there are three hardware touch keys with backlit. At the ends of the smartphone there is a power button and a 3.5 mm connector (from above), microUSB and a primary microphone (bottom), a slot for Micro-SIM and MicroSD (right) and the volume of the volume adjustment to the left (left). The smartphone is running the Android 4.2.2 operating system using its own interface. The branded shell is pleasant in appearance and is to some extent symbiosis of Miui and Android Jelly Bean.

First of all, it seems to be the impression due to the extremely small framework around the display, the size of which is less than 2 mm on the sides and 14 mm from above and below. In fact, they thicker thicker, given the black frame, which is visible only with the active screen, but it still does not change the essence. In the smartphone, angular shapes are dominated at extreme points.

A visual addition of strict style is a solid plastic edging "under metal" (the lower half is chromed, the upper - ground), a slouching case along the contour and thereby adding refinement. The concentric pattern on the back side, consisting on the camera module, looks no less interesting.

In addition, the smartphone was pretty thin (7.9 mm) and sufficiently light (only 125 g), although somewhat longer than LG Nexus 5. Therefore, despite the sufficiently large diagonal of the display, it lies well in the average hand and is absolutely not felt cumbersome. The novelty is available in black and white colored variations.

The entire facial part of the smartphone covers the calene glass. The manufacturer on the official page indicates the Corning Gorilla Glass 2 / NEG, but the Internet has a mention of ASAHI Dragontrail. According to its contour, there is a thin frame for the color of the body, slightly rising above the glass.

To open the plug, you need to click on the area with a special rounded convexity. On the right face, next to the SIM card connector, there is a dual swing of volume control, easily located blindly.

By the way, the smartphone is available in two versions: with a single SIM card and support for MicroSD memory cards (Model 6043 index) and with two SIM cards, but without supporting memory cards (Model 6043D). In addition, the differences lies and in the amount of built-in memory: 16 GB for the first option and 32 GB for the second. It should be noted that the engineering sample hit us for testing, so the memory in it, despite the support of two SIM cards, only 16 GB.

The display brightness can be manually configured, and you can use automatic regulation. The approximation sensor blocks the screen when making a smartphone to the ear. Multitouch technology here allows you to process up to 10 simultaneous touches. In general, it shows very good sensitivity even with light touches (does not react to pressing in gloves).

In general, the display of Alcatel OneTouch Idol X + is very bright, pretty contrast, with maximum viewing angles and pleasant transmission of colors. It should be noted that in the settings you can correct the color temperature and saturation according to personal tastes. Maximum brightness with more than enough to consider information in a bright sunny day, and minimal - for comfortable work in the dark, although the last is somewhat higher than I would like. Summing up the foregoing, we note that the display leaves a very pleasant impression and is the indisputable advantage of the novelty.

As already mentioned, the smartphone is equipped with only one speaker, which is located on the lower end. Thanks to this placement, the sound is not muted if the gadget lies on the horizontal surface.

Multimedia speaker is quite loud and gives clean sound almost all frequency range. Only when approaching the maximum volume, a slight sound distortion is observed. In general, its capabilities are quite enough for games, watching videos, calls and alerts. In principle, it is enough for listening to music. However, much more pleasant to do it in headphones. The fact is that the use of the progressive Hi-Fi decoder ES9018 and the Maxim9720 headphone amplifier with playback support in SACD 24 bits / 192 kHz mode improves the sound.

Activation of Hi-Fi mode is possible only when the headphones are connected and using the previously installed application Music. The latter has a number of useful settings, including equalizer. The impression of playback really becomes better: the sound of compositions (any genres) becomes more voluminous and saturated, the detailing of individual tools in the sound batch is improved.
