The latter is more interesting to use for quickly exchange materials and when working on a project - for example, in ZOHO DOCs, you can directly open access (read or editing) to a series of documents at once to several users working together as part of a specific project. It is even more convenient to create your own themed workspace (Workspace) for each project and open access to this area for a group of colleagues - as a result, all users of the group will access the newly added documents automatically (that is, without any effort on your part). If you do not need all the power of MS Office products on your home computer, it is quite possible to save, limiting the free desktop office in the form of one of the software products considered by us. As for online office services, then, in our opinion, it is wiser to use them for the exchange of documents and quickly agree on real time. If materials used during collaboration do not differ in complex design and there are no problems with the Internet, then this path of editing and commenting documents during the project work may be very convenient and efficient. A business - when finalizing large complexly structured and effectively decorated documents previously created in the MS Office environment. Here you can expect disappointment, because in practice compatibility with Microsoft's office formats in office services is far from excellence, and the editing of large documents is performed slowly.
