The memory card, which, in theory, should be included, is already formatted accordingly and is ready for operation. Immediately it is worth noting that with a volume card less than 4 GB Black box refuses to work.

Because to format a card, you need a branded by IBoxPlayer2, then from it and begin. The folder with this program should be on the memory card, but to make formatting, the folder must be copied to hDD. By the way, even being launched from Winchester, IBOXPlayer2 calmly reproduces footage, if the memory card is inserted into the card reader or USB port by means of an adapter. But whether the entry is maintained in the absence of a folder with the program on the card, we did not check.

Next, attach the power cable to the connector on the rear panel of the device and insert it into the cigarette lighter. Yes, and then I would not blindly believe the DVR's information, because sometimes the speedometer readings 110 km / h on the screen 93-97 km / h were displayed on the screen. It is clear that the speedometer is "lying", but not by almost the 20th km / h at the regular size of rubber. Returning to the screen, you can state that, by and large, it only needs to configure the video recorder.

The function of exceeding the specified speed threshold works fine, but reminded itself only a few times - the author was not recorded in Schumacher. But the warnings about the chambers did not give up the device never - apparently, it was necessary to ride through M1, but there was no need for this.

The quality of the received videos can be called average. The resolution of the picture is 640x480 - in the frame there is a lot of hood and sky, 1280x720 would be more appropriate. That is, if you want to "pass" the violator by providing video materials, they are unlikely to be able to become a significant proof of violations. And in the case of an accident, it is more important to understand the whole picture of what happened, and the rooms are secondary. And here the rear camera comes to the rescue, which fixes what is happening behind and on the sides of the car. Surely, after all, there are "Support" schemes like the intentional strike riding a nearby an angle of an angle in front of the car and the subsequent assertion that the victim cropped.

In general, in order for a one-piece picture of what is happening, this quality of records is enough. True, it is worth notify that in the dark the picture is seriously worsening, up to the fact that sometimes nothing can be seen.

Plus what is happening in the cabin. But many models, the cheaper of the considered by us twice, offer much more high quality Pictures with a resolution of 1280x720. Here is the only 640x480, the quality of the picture is low, and in the dark there is practically nothing visible. However, in order to understand how the situation was developing on the road, enough and 640x480 - the main claims in our case precisely on the picture in the dark.

Plus, to view the ordinary player, the record has to convert, which is not entirely convenient. The benefit of "native" is quite functional and pleasant in use.

The functionality associated with GPS is not very necessary in our realities. Stationary photoradars are not so much, but those who are constantly driving on M1, know perfectly well where they are. A prevention of exceeding a given speed is unlikely to be considered a very useful option: exceeding it is simply ignored, well, and those who drive within the framework of traffic rules or standard for most +10 km / h, from the restriction and themselves perfectly control. As for the speed testimony on the records, there is also a disposal moment: you will show the staff of the traffic police that demonstrate the absence of your guilt in an accident, for example, and there is an excess of 30 km / h.

Someone can call the lack of a screen on which you can view records. But, in our opinion, this is not a significant minus. The presence of the screen affects the price of the device and its dimensions, even if the display is folding. Yes, you can watch the entry at any time, but do they often look in the car owners of DVRs equipped with screens? Ease of settings - another question, but again, it is not necessary to change any parameters as often - set up and forgotten.

One more thing is somewhat incomprehensible: using Micro SD memory card in a rather big gadget. It is much more expensive than SD / SDHC, it is easy to lose, and it is extremely uncomfortable from the nest.

With the convenience of mounting, and in our realities, rather dismantling, there are no problems at least when Black Box hangs on the bracket. He is removed from it easily, put on back also without problems. But with a magnet there may be questions, because on it the device holds very firmly, and it is not a fact that it will be disconnected earlier than disconnected from the velcro panel.

With the placement there are also no problems: the DVR neatly mounted on the windshield does not worsen visibility. Unfortunately, the hidden installation of Black Box is practically unrealistic, but this problem also concerns the majority of other models with a decent quality picture and functionality.

Of course, the best video recorder would be the one that was two blocks: the main and remote. The main, with all the electronics, it would be hidden to mount under the dashboard, for example, and a pair of miniature cameras hide, say, at the base of the salon mirror. At the same time, it should have all the possibilities of Black Box, more flexible setup features and noticeably better image quality. But so far such a device is not available on sale, so you have to choose between extensive functionality with medium quality pictures and good quality Video at a minimum of features.

In principle, the price of $ 350 for Highscreen Black Box seems to be overstated. The models are popular in our market, which are copies of the HD720P video recorder, cost much cheaper and offer much higher quality pictures both during the day and night. For complete happiness, they lack only rear camera. Plus the G-sensor is a useful thing, but is it worth it and the GPS functionality, which looks more like a balobiness, rather than a useful option, overpay almost $ 200 - rhetorical question. Of course, theoretically, the coordinates of the place where, God forbid, an accident occurred, can come in handy, but almost hardly. And information about the speed on the record and can play a dick joke at all.

The device would justify its price, be included in the wireless radar detector, as in the Conqueror GPS1699R prototype, until the manufacturer promises that it can be purchased separately. But is it expensive if it turns out in the end?
