In general, this article will offer a fairly simple and effective way to edit PDF (suitable for the absolute majority of files).

Note: In the article, I intentionally do not bring any online services (because Quite often in PDF documents contain confidential and private information that is extremely unwanted to show strangers!).

What you need

1) File (in PDF format)You need to edit. If you encountered such a problem - then you probably have it ...

2) Libbre Office Office Package.

This is a free and very powerful office package. According to some of its capabilities and functions, superior to Microsoft Office! In particular, if we talk about our topic, in his arsenal there is a Draw program that can easily and quickly edit most PDF (even those that refuse to open Word)!

PDF files can be different (I now mean not the number of sheets or theme, but the structure of the file ...). There are PDF files with text, there are scanned sheets or photographs (in fact, a collection of pictures located in order).

2) Next, specify your file (as a rule, after 2-3 seconds. The file will be imported into the DRAW program and automatically open). Please note that after opening a document, you can immediately put the cursor in the desired location and edit the text.

If you have a simple text document in PDF (without any tables, drawings, charts) - in most cases it will "cope" and the usual Word (which, besides, installed in most users, in contrast to the same Libre Office).

Note: Part of users, by the way, do not realize that Word is able to open many PDF files and even allow them to save in Doc / DOCX format.

How to edit PDF file in Word (relevant for Word 2016, 2019):

1) First we find the desired PDF file and open it in Word (see Example below).

2) Next, agree with Word's warning (that it is going to convert your PDF). I note that for large PDF files, a significant time may be required (especially if your PC does not "shit" with performance).

The most famous is Acrobat Reader, but you can open through modern browsers. Some users may need to edit such files. For example, it is required to remove some parts of the text, and the source document from which you created PDF are already lost. Or is it worth the task to correct someone else's PDF document. And then problems arise ... PDF files cannot be edited through the following programs that are all used to open them and this requires special programs that support these files. In this article, I will tell you about free ways to edit PDF documents.

The article will not talk about hacking protected by password and / or encryption of PDF documents in which restrictions on editing information are facing!

When I once faced the task of editing the PDF document in which the instruction was contained, it was collided immediately with the problem. I thought I could do this using the PDF 24 of Creator's bet, with which you can easily create a PDF file from almost any other text format and protect the document from copying and editing (everything is told about this in a separate article - here). But this program can not edit PDF files, for example, it is impossible to lift some text with it, write a new one.

The search for a special free program to solve this problem failed. I managed to find only online services, to edit documents whose capabilities are very weak, as well as the LibreOffice office package (analogue of paid Microsoft Office), which is generally designed to work with text documents, presentations, tables and at the same time supports the possibility of editing PDF.

Another possibility of changing PDF files supports all the latest versions of the famous Microsoft Word program (starting from about the 2013 release). But this program is paid and I myself use free analogues. The ability to edit PDF through Microsoft Office will be told.

So, consider for a start 2 free way to edit the PDF document.

Editing a PDF document with a free office package LibreOffice

LiberOffice, as I already mentioned above, the free analogue of Microsoft Office package, which contains similar programs, i.e., replacing such well-known programs as Word, Excel, PowerPoints to others. It also supports and editing PDF files. Of course, I don't really want to set a whole office package for editing, for example, one PDF file, but another free and at the same time good solution to perform editing, perhaps and not. If you need to perform the simplest editing in the PDF file, for example, to sweat some pieces of text, it is easier to use the online editor, which will be discussed.

If you need to replace some kind of text, transfer some elements above-lower, something else to add, it is better to install LibreOffice for this, especially since then you can quickly delete.

How to open a PDF document for editing in LibreOffice and save again to the same format

In order to edit the PDF document using the LibreOffice office package, no complicated action is required, everything is simple!

If you need to perform elementary editing PDF, i.e., do not change some text, links or images, and, for example, remove some pieces of text from the document, something to be lost, then you will help the usual online service for editing PDF files. Such services are not rich in their own editing opportunities.

I have seen only one more or less normal website where you can perform the simplest editing of the PDF file and this: pdfescape.com. In the rest, either quite a meager functionality, there is no possibility even to erase something from PDF, or they are too buggy or paid.
