Yandex in July 2015 launched a new service Yandex.Delivery. The service, which brings together the companies specializing in logistics: DPD and Axiomus, Russian Post, Boxberry and Strizh, offers online store owners a single platform for organizing the delivery of products to customers in all regions of Russia.

What problems does Yandex.Delivery solve

Connecting to the service of online stores saves their owners from looking for ways to deliver products to customers. It is not required to conclude separate contracts with numerous courier services, logistics companies to cover the territory of the Russian Federation (cities, regions) for the delivery of products.

Using the Yandex.Delivery service, store owners will be able to:

How to work with the service

On the main page of delivery.yandex.ru click the button "Connect" or "Fill in the application". Enter your store name and website address. Select product categories and subcategories, indicate the average parameters of products: dimensions, weight and indicate the amount of goods sent to customers per day.

Provide the address of the product warehouse and check the boxes for the services that you will use: delivery to the regions and a single fence, sorting and return, the value of sending, etc. Enter your full name, phone number and mail.

In the control panel, click "Store", edit the data: name, address, mail, and so on. Click "Save".

Go to the "Warehouse" tab, click "Add" and fill out the form: name and contact phone number, detailed address and test information, how to get there. Click Add Warehouse.

In the "Requisites" block, provide detailed information on the enterprise: individual entrepreneur or legal entity, the registration number of the entrepreneur and the contacts of the accounting department, bank details. Open the "Delivery" tab, specify the parameters of the goods, select the delivery services and, if necessary, enable additional options: sorting and checking the order, using a single warehouse.

On the "Products" tab, upload a list of products in YML format. In this case, when creating new orders, the name of the product and the cost will be automatically inserted into the form.

The instruction consists of several parts:

It is not recommended to enable this delivery method until the full launch of your store. All stores are moderated in the Yandex.Delivery service. If your store is not ready yet, the application may be rejected.

Creating and configuring a personal account in the Yandex.Delivery service

Add a warehouse, specify the details and select delivery services. After filling out the registration form on the “Stores” tab, information about your store has already appeared, now you need to add information about the warehouse from which you will ship the goods. Open the next tab “Warehouses”, click on the “Add” button and fill in all the necessary information about your warehouse:

Next, you need to add information about the details. To do this, go to the "Details" tab and fill in the contact details, legal and postal addresses, as well as billing information and bank details:

The details are checked, after which the original of the contract will be sent to the mailing address you specified. It is imperative to use correct data.

After specifying the details, you need to configure the delivery parameters. Go to the "Delivery" tab and set the parameters you need for each of the delivery services:

Now you need to get the widget code, you will need it when adding a delivery method in the online store. Go to the tab “Integration” - “Widgets” and find the basket widget. Click on the "Install" button and copy the code that appears in the pop-up window:

Copy the received code and proceed to adding a delivery method to the online store.

Adding a shipping method to an online store

Go to the control panel of your site, open the "Online store" module and go to the payment and delivery methods:

Add a new method and activate the use of the Yandex.Delivery module for calculating the shipping cost. Then click on the link “Module settings”:

A window with settings will appear:

1. In field " Widget code"Place the code you copied a little earlier in your Yandex.Delivery account.
2. Here you need to install shipping cost ratio... Since all calculations at the Yandex.Delivery service are carried out in rubles, you need to establish the correspondence of the exchange rate used on your site to the ruble. If your store has the ruble as the main currency, set the coefficient to one.
3. The Yandex.Delivery service can be sent fields that are responsible for the dimensions of the goods: height, width, length... Their value will be substituted from additional fields. If dimensions are not specified, then you need to set the default value for them in your Yandex.Delivery account.
4. It is also necessary to set the correspondence of the service order fields to the fields in the online store. These include fields: “ City”, “Street”, “House number”, “Index”, “Surname”, “Name”, “Telephone”.

Save your changes. The setup is complete.

Until the moment of passing the moderation and concluding an agreement with Yandex.Delivery, your store is working in test mode. You can test the functionality of the service, create several test orders, check the correctness of the settings. Only after the conclusion of the contract will your store be able to arrange delivery of orders and accept payment.

The contract will be sent to your e-mail within 1-3 days from the date of registration.

When using Yandex.Delivery, there is no need to independently conclude an agreement and deliver goods to the warehouses of courier services. The courier will come to you, pick up all the necessary orders and take them to the Single Warehouse, where they will be sorted and handed over to the delivery services. The goods can be delivered directly to the client personally, by courier, or to the nearest pick-up point, post office, or post office. The safety of the order is guaranteed at all stages of delivery.
