Description htc hd2 wm 6.5. HTC HD2 - Specifications. Memory cards are used in mobile devices to increase the storage capacity for storing data

We were concerned that the HTC HD2 wouldn't be very practical in terms of practicality. But in fact, all fears turned out to be in vain.

Screen

The HTC HD2 screen is hidden behind glass. Typically, transparent plastic is used for these purposes, which quickly becomes unusable and forces users to purchase protective films in bulk. Future owners of HTC HD2 will be spared this need: its protective glass is very scratch-resistant. Nothing will happen to it, even if you carry the communicator in your pocket with keys, a lighter and other potentially dangerous objects.

But, unfortunately, it was not possible to get rid of the problem with fingerprints - the screen quickly gets dirty. With any other Windows Mobile device, you could use a stylus and minimize fingerprints. But here the screen is capacitive, it does not react in any way to the stylus, being triggered only by fingers.

The resolution has not changed compared to Touch HD or MAX 4G - it's still WVGA (800 x 480), but the brightness, contrast and viewing angles have improved. Despite the fact that the matrix is made using TFT technology, you can work with it quite comfortably outside on a sunny day. Thanks to the light sensor, in the dark the backlight is automatically set to the minimum level that is comfortable for reading, and in the sun - to the maximum. Undoubtedly, the screen is one of the main advantages of the HD2. It’s a pleasure to use the browser, it’s convenient to watch movies and photos, and it’s convenient to read e-books.

Hardware platform and performance

The HD2 is powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon platform with a QSD8250 processor running at 1 GHz. In addition to the fast CPU, the communicator has a record amount of RAM – 448 MB. This is enough for simultaneous operation of several “heavy” applications. You can open Navitel Navigator, a browser with several tabs, mail and a player at the same time - nothing will slow down. Which is certainly encouraging. In general, if brakes appear somewhere, it is due to the fault of the firmware. For example, during testing we had to deal with the brakes of the HTC Peep twitter client, which frankly froze with 100-150 loaded tweets. Only a reboot helped fix this problem. Presumably, this will be fixed in future firmware updates.

Just like the previous platform from Qualcomm, Snapdragon is a complete solution that simultaneously includes all wireless modules, a graphics chip and a GPS receiver. The latter, by the way, has not undergone any changes - it is still the same gpsOne.

But the graphics chip promises to take gaming and video performance to new heights. Even the possibility of smooth HD playback in 720p format is declared. However, due to the lack of a navigation key and the impossibility of reassigning hardware keys, you won’t be able to play games normally on the HD2.

The built-in graphics accelerator of the platform is not yet supported by video players, and you will have to forget about high-quality video. The communicator can easily play back videos in screen resolution (800 x 480). But HD, alas, is slow. Standard test videos literally “fly” when scrolled in CorePlayer. For videos with resolutions of 640x480, 640x352 and 320x240, testing yielded 234%, 217% and 528%, respectively. Excellent results - better than any other smartphone or communicator of the current generation.

Let us also remind you that you can familiarize yourself with all the features of the Qualcomm Snapdragon platform in the corresponding material.

Wireless interfaces are fully present. A distinctive feature of the device is the ability to work as a Wi-Fi access point. This function was implemented in other HTC communicators, even before the company began releasing them under its own brand. But, nevertheless, the moment is very pleasant. Almost none of the competitors can offer such functionality.

Interface and pre-installed software

HTC decided to abandon the name TouchFLO; now all devices of this company have the Sense interface. The Sense here is not too similar to the Sense we saw on Android - in fact, it is a slightly modernized TouchFLO, with better animation, new tabs and other minor improvements. At the same time, HTC replaced all the standard Windows Mobile menus with its own, which was only beneficial. In its unchanged form from Windows Mobile, the communicator received only the lock screen and the Start menu. The standard calendar, address book, mail, and so on have been replaced. And instead of the usual Internet Explorer Mobile, the latest version of Opera is used as a browser. By default, an alternative browser is used, but if you wish, you can use the standard one.

Everything you expect from a mobile device is offered to you by the HTC HD2 communicator model. The large 4.3-inch diagonal touchscreen display, the Windows Phone operating system and a powerful 1 GHz processor provide a quick response to even the light touch of your fingers. The new HTC Sense interface makes communicating with your new device simple and straightforward. The communicator can be customized to suit your tastes and needs. The functions you need are easily displayed on the screen - mail, messages...

Also on the main page you can easily place your favorite and frequently used applications, the range of which is unusually large in this communicator. However, if you need something new, you can quickly download it on the Windows Marketplace for Mobile. A convenient feature for those who often go on business trips to other countries - the communicator's clock is automatically converted to local time. In addition, special wallpaper on your phone will show you the weather outside right on the screen.

In addition, the developers have made all contact functions conveniently located - the address book, messages, email and updates on the Facebook social network are now collected in one place, which makes it possible to quickly contact the right person. You can call the recipient immediately after reading his message, just by pressing one key. A necessary function for all businessmen - conference calling in the communicator is connected quickly and easily. There is also a call reminder function - the phone itself will prepare not only a number, but also a password so that you can immediately contact the people you need.

Key characteristics of the HTC HD2 communicator:

  • Convenience and simplicity are the main characteristics of this communicator.
  • The touch screen and updated platform with a powerful processor make working with the device truly instant.
  • Excellent functions for businessmen - a collection of all contacts in one place, automatic switching to local time, quick connection to a conference call - will help you always be up to date.

Photos of the HTC HD2 communicator:

What I didn't like

The screen is too large and gets dirty, the dimensions of the phone itself are not pleasing, it’s a kind of mixture of a phone and an e-reader. Not fish not meat in one word. Price.

What I liked

Was not found

What I didn't like

The PDA is buggy. It often hangs and slows down.
The battery lasts for a day.
The camera is not very good.
The display only responds to fingers. In cold weather it is very inconvenient to use outdoors, as well as when using various applications with small buttons

What I liked

What I didn't like

I’ve been using it for 2 days, and I’m still very unhappy. (low speaker volume, inconvenient phone-like functions) Not very intuitive menu (let’s say that in order to set a melody you must first copy it to the calls folder). I carry an old Sonya Ericsson with me to make calls, and I use the PDA as a means of accessing the Internet, a navigator. Now I regret that I didn’t take the Sony Vivaz Pro.

What I liked

Large screen, navigator, multimedia capabilities

What I didn't like

The sensor is terrible, it is impossible to use in a damp room, there are a lot of false positives. Speaker. Battery. Huge display sizes.

What I liked

Variety of OS, good flashlight (flash)

What I liked

What I didn't like

The battery is terrible, the sound is not very good, the OS

What I liked

screen, of course.

What I didn't like

Outdated operating system without the possibility of updates. The steel body is 5, but on the pavement with the screen facing down in St. Petersburg it is two. so, overall, a good device

What I liked

In general, a normal device, I used it for quite a long time.

What I didn't like

The battery is weak and dots are visible on the display at a certain angle. WM 6. is the main drawback. There are few applications, but at the moment this is the fastest system on this device. Display is too big

What I liked

There was a large display, simply huge, the sensor failed, they said it was a microcrack, I paid 120 USD for a new one. and it’s still cheap, the SC wanted 200.

What I didn't like

People, don't think about buying it! The device is on windows, but it eats itself after 2 months. Without exaggeration, it freezes 3 times a day and there is nothing you can do except remove the battery! When you talk and someone else calls, it freezes when switching, you have to take out the battery again! The connection constantly disappears when you talk, we sit down with terrible sounds in the microphone, at first I was even scared. I could give a bunch more examples, but I don’t want to. I have the phone number, my wife and my mother. All three of them have a problem! Anyone who gives a phone a five has nerves of steel!

What I liked

Beautiful, big, powerful. Yandex traffic jams are very convenient to view.

What I didn't like

Indecently small battery capacity. Terrible delays with SMS messages when there are a large number of them. The phone freezes when deleting, sending or receiving messages

What I liked

Large, bright display

What I didn't like

Very large, not convenient to use with one hand. The battery lasts for a day, you constantly have to think that enough is enough, there won’t be enough charge. WM is just a joke. After adding the necessary programs, it began to freeze 3 times a week consistently. I sold it after 3 months and was happy about it.

What I liked

Beautiful screen, at first the screen size seems like an advantage.

What I didn't like

Huge, inconvenient, quickly discharges. Sucky sound and fast discharge when listening to MP3. There are no useful functions that cannot be found in Nokia smartphones from 2004-5.

What I liked

High quality screen.

What I didn't like

poor outdated screen (dots and stripes are terribly annoying at certain moments). Basically too big (4 inches would be better for me!)

What I liked

big, fast, stylish, multi-platform

What I didn't like

However, the disadvantages were stronger than the advantages:
1) The first and most important disadvantage is that when making a call, the buttons are not blocked and when taking the phone out of the case, 80% of the time it was always either picked up or dropped. It can be treated with a special program, or by purchasing a larger case so that the phone slips out of it.
2) The developers of WM 6.5 completely forgot about it. It feels like everyone has gone to work on Android. There are a lot of programs on WM, but they are either from old WM, or they are all skewed and unfinished; I’m generally silent about games.
3) Memory disappears! I put all the programs, music and photos on a flash drive, but one day my phone, out of the blue, told me that there was not enough disk space. I carried out an audit, deleted all messages, task files in the calendar, the memory did not increase, I transferred the family photos to a flash drive, the memory was enough for exactly 2 months.
4) When you turn on the screen, the touchscreen sometimes freezes. And I’m generally silent about frequent freezes or sudden reboots; I already regard them as the change of day and night (one glitch today, another tomorrow).
5) In 1 year I changed three batteries, now I’m already planning to go for a new one again.

What I liked

At the moment, I have had my phone in use for a year. Here are the advantages I noticed during this time: 1) The large screen is convenient both for viewing mail and surfing the Internet; almost all sites adjust to the screen when approached. 2) There are many programs under WM that are useful for me. 3) Despite its large size, the phone fits very comfortably in the hand. Thanks to its thinness, it fits easily into your pocket and does not fidget there due to its width and height. 4) The keyboard is much more convenient than on an Apple phone. 5)Powerful and fast processor and the same touchscreen. 6) Unlike all the HTCs I had before, there is finally a headphone jack. 7) I bought the phone when the hype for it had already died down, so the price was attractive.

What I didn't like

This is my first, and I hope, last smartphone. This is basically a mistake - it absolutely cannot replace a regular computer. Everything about it is different.
The main drawback is that the battery does not last long, although I charged it “according to the rules” the first three times.
Another one is the inability to work with a stylus - only with your fingers. So, in some programs (for example, in Transac) written for ordinary stylus-smartphones, it is impossible to touch the microscopic icons intended for the stylus with your finger. But the stylus in this model simply does not work. That is, I cannot use all the capabilities of the program, for which I took this bandurina.

What I liked

Big screen. Good build quality.

What I didn't like

very weak battery, poor sound, hangs constantly

Worth seeing once HTC HD2 to remember him forever and recognize him among a dozen other communicators. The huge 4.3-inch touch screen amazes with its size and image quality. A powerful processor with a frequency of one gigahertz and a high-quality five-megapixel camera complement the advantages of the device. HTC's reputation as a world leader in the production of mobile devices also speaks for itself.

HTC HD2 design

When developing the design of the device, the designers of the communicator were forced to follow the shape and size of the huge screen. But surprisingly, the developers managed to give HTC HD2 elegant and quite compact appearance. The elegance of the device is emphasized by the slight thickness of the case. The device looks very stylish, there are no protruding elements. The camera window protrudes only slightly on the back side, which, however, does not spoil the appearance of the device. Moreover, such a technical solution will only help improve the audibility of an incoming call, since in this communicator, as in most others, the speaker is located on the back of the case.

HTC HD2 Specifications

Snapdrago brand processor with a maximum frequency of 1 Gigahertz. The large 4.3-inch WVGA touch screen has a resolution of 480 by 800 pixels. The total memory of the device is one gigabyte. Half of it is allocated for RAM, and half for permanent memory. Communication standards HSPA/WCDMA (900/2100 MHz) and GSM (850/900/1800/1900 MHz). There is support for WI-FI and BLUETOOTH communication standards, which is usual for such devices. There is also a five-megapixel camera with autofocus mode and dual LED flash, which is quite common in mobile devices. An accelerometer and GPS navigation receiver complete the picture.

HTC HD2 features

Possibility of making incoming and outgoing calls via mobile networks of HSPA/WCDMA and GSM standards. Using all the functions of the Windows Mobile 6.5 Professional operating system. The ability to install numerous third-party software created for a common mobile platform from such a software giant as Microsoft. Navigation on the ground can be done using the built-in GPS sensor. To navigate the Internet, there is such a popular browser as Opera Mobile. There is an application for integration with Facebook, the ability to share photos via Facebook and Twitter, video support via YouTube, and the HTC Peep application for Twitter.

Conclusion

The HTC HD2 communicator is of great interest to true fans of mobile devices. The world's first ultra-sensitive capacitive screen technology, as well as its huge size and unique design, make it very attractive to a wide range of users.

A trampoline is a wonderful gift for children and adults. Now there are plenty available. And almost everyone can please themselves and their loved ones with such an acquisition. Bring joy to your dear people!

HTC HD2 is the first Windows phone to feature HTC Sense, a user interface organized around contacts that makes the device experience simpler, more natural and more personalized. Featuring a stunning 4.3-inch high-resolution capacitive touchscreen, the ultra-thin HTC HD2 lets you access more visual content that looks brighter and clearer. The 1 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon mobile processor increases the speed of running applications, playing video files, games and other content.
