The quality of the main microphone and the colloquial dynamics of the smartphone is not bad. There is a noise cancellation option using a second microphone located above the rear chamber. She works, unfortunately, only for traditional telephone conversations. In particular, only one microphone is used in Skype, so no noise reduction.

Qualcomm is one of the most active manufacturers from the point of view of the implementation of new technologies. In particular, the model under consideration can work with wireless displays according to the Miracast standard. Testing with the NetGear receiver has shown that this function can be used for some scenarios that do not require high resolution or dynamics (for example, for presentations).

To determine the coordinates there is support for GPS and GLONASS systems. In our laboratory, this year has already been a pair of devices based on this version of SOC Qualcomm Snapdragon 801, equipped with screens with Full HD resolution. Interestingly, they belong to completely different market segments. In comparison of performance, we added Xiaomi Mi3 (in two of the three supported modes).

Formally, we also tested other devices on this chip, however, they differ frequency and / or screen resolution, which puts them in another category. On the other hand, from a consumer point of view, the difference in the experience of using devices on this platform is almost impossible to find. The level of performance of modern top solutions Qualcomm is overhaul in most cases, and this section can be used sooner to confirm the absence of errors in firmware than to actually select models by speed parameter.

In high performance mode, you can record a novelty in the leaders. However, if you look at a more popular balanced mode, then everything is not so unambiguous. You can also pay attention to the implementation of the processor frequency control modes for Xiaomi Mi4 and Mi3. The second device practically does not reduce the speed of operation in the middle mode. But the variant of saving batteries, as we remember last article, Xiaomi Mi3 is much slower than others. The new device is noticeably "lying" immediately when the maximum performance is disconnected.

We see a similar distribution of forces and in graphic tests - in the maximum Xiaomi Mi4 mode, it performed perfectly, and in a balanced, it is inferior to other participants. GFXBENCH 3.0 again confirmed that it is precisely a graph-oriented test, since the rate of its execution is little dependent on the computational cores of the processor. For top platforms, the Bonsai Benchmark and Epic Citadel tests are irrelevant because they show close to the maximum indicators in 50-60 FPS.

The last group of browser tests also confirms the above results.

In general, there is no comments to the performance of the device. Find the tasks where the speed of work in a balanced mode will not be enough, it is quite difficult. However, it was possible to leave the manufacturer to leave all three modes from MI4, like the predecessor, or provide the user with great flexibility in their configuration.

The speed of working with the internal flash memory when connected to a USB computer is 17-19 MB / s, which is the average result for this version of the interface. Given the presence of fast Wi-Fi, it may be more convenient to use it for working with files on the smartphone.
