Realizing that I could easily fix what I didn’t like myself, I set to work: first I made a white background, then I made it a little darker, but still lighter than the original one, added shadows, and removed icons. Well, that's all, I'm happy.

How to return to the old VKontakte design?

Unfortunately, there is no way through the site itself. But through the Stylish plugin you can install styles similar to the old design, although I was not able to find any adequate design, they are all crooked, so I would not like to recommend them, but I still have to, because some came here precisely for this.

So, I’ll tell you step by step how to switch to the old design and return to the old VK design.

1. Install the plugin. Type into Google, it will immediately find this extension for the Chrome or Firefox browser.

2. After that we go to the website https://userstyles.org, enter “old VK design” in the search bar and install.

Here you can enter “vk” in the search and find other styles for the site. Just do not accept several styles at the same time (uncheck the boxes in front of the styles in the extension itself after installation).

• page freeze. As a rule, this happens in the case of sending spam or using programs associated with the so-called cheating;
• the page was hacked. That is, an unauthorized person gained access to your account by guessing a password, spreading a virus, or in any other way;
• The account was previously deleted. It is worth noting that this is one of the simplest problems that may arise when it is necessary to restore a VK page;
• There are some problems with logging in. In this case, there are usually problems with linking a phone number or e-mail address, as well as losing a password.
