    1. Battery

Inexpensive. Feels pretty nimble. Spacious. There is a flash that can be a flashlight. Large battery (not the most relevant for me, but also a plus). Loud speaker. GPS.

    Battery, screen, sound, shape, price

An excellent bright screen with good details and a sensitive sensor. Very smart, without any lags. Large battery

Screen diagonal. -Autonomy. -Practically "naked" android. - Sufficiently resistant to drops and shocks.

    1. Battery. The declared 4000mahs work out completely .. In the frost on the street with gps always on (in active mode), sound, Internet and a screen (Who plays Ingress will understand), pulls confidently for over 8 hours nonstop. In normal smart mode (some internet, some conversations, messengers in the background) - stable for two days or more. 2. Ergonomics. With external brickiness, it is very convenient. It sits like a glove in a large palm. Dimensions allow you to comfortably carry in your pocket, not to lose among scarves and cigarette packs. 3. Sound. When speaking, a very clear, intelligible sound. The loudspeaker is loud, it is also suitable for listening to music. 4. Screen. Bright even at minimum brightness. In the twilight, even too much. In the sun it almost does not fade, only in a very bright image the image fades a little. 5. Firmware

    2 years ago 0

    1. Capacious battery (I have 4 days); 2. Almost "naked" Anroid (only Odnoklassniki and a program for cloud storage were put there - that's all). This greatly saves battery life; 3. The presence of a light indicator of events; 4. Successful system of automatic brightness control (smoothly, neatly, unobtrusively); 5. Lanyard (connector) for charging - with backlight (but the lanyard - with a drawback, see paragraph 2 of the drawbacks); 6. Large and angular - fits well in the hand, does not slip (for me). 7. "Out of the box" a protective film is glued to the screen (this is very good, especially considering that the hardness of the screen is not so high and scratches would appear on it without the film).

    1. Price 2. Simple menu 3. Good firmware functionality "out of the box" 4. Camera (for a state employee - just gut) 5. REALLY LONG! 6. It catches wifi, 3G well (operator - Tele2) 7. Smart 8. The notification diode is located so that it will take out the brain until you open the messages. Don't miss the main point 9. It's amazing, but it is quite possible to find covers and films! 10. If you are attacked, then with an accurate hit in the head will knock out. If in a case, it still does not beat.

    1. Slowness and glitchiness. And even when using standard applications. Recently, the alarm clock began to hang at the moment of triggering: it is impossible to turn it off. My family is delighted!
    2. Little space for applications. This is a separate song in the comments.
    3. Camera. It strains, puffs, squirt, grinds, loses and finds focus 10 times - and as a result, a photo of the most disgusting quality.

    2 years ago 0

Volume buttons on the RIGHT and on / off buttons on the LEFT. It was very annoying at first. Well, the "innovations" from the developers of the shell interface (they are already described here, such as the history of calls and the phone book) - in their hands would have shit. You can solve it by flashing or installing convenient software, but I'm not fooling around yet - I'm used to it already.

    2 years ago 0

The touchscreen (screen), at the bottom of the screen is pressed just awfully, in games with small buttons, it is extremely difficult to get into them, write text without errors. pressed at once by 3 letters with delays ... and it's really heavy.

    2 years ago 0

    1. In the dark, the camera is simply useless
    2. Gig of memory for applications (does not bother me)
    3. About 200 grams - not for weak users

    2 years ago 0

    Heats up, memory is disgusting

    2 years ago 0

Creaky body, mediocre speaker, GPS confusion, dimensions.

    2 years ago 0

Slag firmware. A lot of glitches and imperfections from breaking the memory to turning on the screen and the camera. The speaker wheezed after 8 months, the battery swelled after 11 months.

    2 years ago 0

    Not without its drawbacks.
    1. The desktop gets lost after removing the battery. I have to re-display the icons.
    2. No hot swap of SIM cards.
    3. Dull sensor in early series. Didn't always react correctly to pressing.
    4. Extremely expensive repair of the display module (comparable to the cost of a new device) - if the screen breaks, you will have to invest from 5 to 7.5 thousand with waiting up to a month.

    2 years ago 0

    1. Shifted to the center "back" and "menu" buttons. No matter how much I use, I still poke at the edge of the case, but I need to - a little to the center.
    2. The charging cord broke in a week (it burst next to the connector). Although the other lace has been working for several months.
    3. The microUSB connector is located on the top. Maybe this is convenient when the phone is on the table, but when you are talking - not.
    4. The proximity sensor works disgustingly: after a conversation, you discover that your ear has "pushed" to some deep menu of some settings.
    5. Vibrating alert - none. Due to the significant weight of the phone (and dimensions), the "motor" of the vibration alert is not able to shake the device so that it is noticeable.
    6. When charging, the upper part of the phone is very hot (there, next to the connector, apparently, the controller / source is located

Appearance

The device resembles a Highscreen Zera U smartphone with a body kit with a capacious battery and an enlarged back cover. The only thing is that there are no replaceable panels in the Highscreen Zera S Power, but the battery remains the same.

Its dimensions are as follows - 133x68x13.5 mm. Externally, the smartphone has not received elements that catch the eye and is made in a simple style. Black color, sharp corners, thick back cover, one can hardly say that it is convenient to carry it in pants pockets.

The case of the Highscreen Zera U got under its control a durable semi-glossy plastic, however, opening the back cover, you get the feeling that it is about to break, although this is not the case. Tempered glass and oleophobic coating provide good protection for the display. The display gets dirty quickly, but also cleans up quickly.

On the front of the device there is a 4.5-inch IPS display, a 2 megapixel front camera and three touch-sensitive buttons (Menu / Home / Back), which are placed separately from the screen.

On the back of the device there is a proprietary inscription - the Highscreen logo and the main 5 megapixel camera, and under the cover there are: a slot for microSD, for SIM-cards.

On the left, there is an on / off button and a volume rocker.

On the top of the device there is a 3.5 mm headphone and charging jack.

Below is a microphone.

Generally speaking, the device received a good design, in the usual Highscreen style. The smartphone is comfortable to fit in the palm of your hand, but the beautiful half of humanity is unlikely to like its weight, which is 175 grams, so we can say that the Highscreen Zera S Power is more male than female.

Screen

The 4.5-inch qHD IPS screen with a resolution of 540x960 pixels shows an excellent picture. As a result, the user gets a juicy image. The maximum viewing angles simply please. The brightness is adjusted automatically and manually, and it is enough for comfortable work.

Filling

The Highscreen Zera S Power system is based on the MTK 6582M chipset. The quad-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz shows excellent results. Responsible for the graphics is the Mali400mp video chip already familiar for this processor, which allows you to play demanding games on your smartphone. World of Tanks Blitz started on the device without much braking, while other games on the Highscreen Zera S Power just "fly". During testing of the smartphone, no lags or freezes were noticed.
1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of internal memory is enough to install all the necessary programs on your smartphone, plus you can install a memory card and transfer all your accumulated files to the 4Sync cloud storage. Buyers of the Highscreen Zera S Power smartphone get 64 GB of memory for free as a bonus. Next, we offer you to get acquainted with the test results:

Battery

As we already said, the Highscreen Zera S Power got a powerful 4000 mAh battery under its control, which shows excellent performance. If you are not an avid gamer and a mobile phone is just a means of communication for you and sometimes you can afford to visit the Internet, then the battery will last for almost 2 days of work. Under normal load, that is, a measured game, surfing the network, chatting, listening to music, the battery charge is stable enough for a whole working day, and it will also remain for household fun. In other words, the developers managed to "charge" the smartphone not only with modern filling, but also with a powerful battery. But you have to pay for everything, in this case, the smartphone has added in its dimensions, however, the feeling that you are holding an armored smartphone disappears almost immediately. Next, we offer you to get acquainted with the results of the AnTuTu Tester test:

Connection

As for communication modules, the smartphone contains the following set: GSM / GPRS / EDGE (850; 900; 1800; 1900 MHz) / 3G / UMTS / HSPA (900; 2100 MHz), GPS, Blueooth, Wi-Fi. During the tests, no problems were recorded when working with mobile operators. Of course, you always want to get LTE support, but this can hardly be expected at this price point.

The connection is stable, and surfing the Internet through 3G is a pleasure. Even if interference appears, it is only in places where the signal of the cellular network itself is weak. Everything else is perfect.

Camera

The main camera 5 megapixels shows very good results, given its price category. However, it lacks focusing speed. In a well-lit place, the pictures are not even bad, but in dimly lit rooms the quality is immediately lost. Here are some sample photos:

The front 2 megapixel camera holds itself confidently and with it you can create a good selfie. It is also perfect for video calls via Skype. Here are some sample photos:

Software

The device runs on Google Android 4.4.2 operating system. In addition, you can find various firmwares on the Internet, although we don't see the point in resetting the factory firmware, because everything works well. The usual applications are pre-installed and, most importantly, the Highscreen company does not change its traditions and does not install a huge number of unnecessary programs that clog up the phone's memory.

But there is one small drawback, the smartphone does not have the necessary audio codecs in order to play the usual formats for watching a movie. That is, there is a picture, but no sound. This problem is solved by the fact that users can download a player, for example "VLC". The problem that appears disappears immediately. So it cannot be said that this is a big minus.

Results for Highscreen Zera S Power

Let's summarize the Highscreen Zera S Power smartphone. The device received a nice price of 8,990 rubles. And most importantly, this amount includes an excellent filling, a powerful battery, a very good camera and much more. In other words, if you are not a fan of taking pictures at every pole, then the Highscreen Zera S Power is just perfect. If you are confused by its dimensions, then believe me, you get used to them quickly enough, this is compensated by the battery life.

The Highscreen Zera S Power smartphone receives a well-deserved award from our Internet resource - "Gold ..

Introduction

We have already had a detailed comparison of the devices of the Highscreen company - Zera F and Zera S - two budget gadgets with good parameters. A little later, a new device called Zera S Power was released. It has become a modification of the regular version: the appearance has changed, the amount of internal memory has increased and, most importantly, a very capacious 4000 mAh battery has appeared in Power.

Since the difference between these smartphones is small, the review will be extremely short, I will dwell only on the operating time and some other points.

Design, dimensions, controls

The Highscreen Zera S Power smartphone looks quite simple: a rectangular case with sharp edges, a thick back cover, black color - in general, everything is as it should be for similar gadgets, ugly and unsightly. The back cover is flat, however, to the edges it has a smooth transition to the side edges, due to which the device is comfortable to hold in the hand.

The dimensions are as follows - 133x68x13.5 mm, and the weight is 175 grams.

The body is completely made of durable-looking semi-glossy plastic, the screen is protected by tempered glass, the oleophobic coating is present: although prints remain on the display, they are erased quickly, in addition, the finger glides along the surface easily.

For a couple of weeks of active use of the smartphone, not a single scratch appeared on the screen, the body was not rubbed, no chips were found. With the assembly, everything is fine: nothing loosens or crunches when the gadget is squeezed strongly.

The earpiece is located on the top of the front panel. Its volume is slightly above average, the timbre is relatively pleasant, not booming, the interlocutor can be heard clearly and legibly enough. To the right of the speaker is an indicator of missed events, a “selfie” camera, light and proximity sensors.

Under the screen are the traditional touch buttons "android" - "Back", "Home" and "Menu". The backlight is white, bright, but does not blind your eyes at night.

A microphone is on the bottom, a standard 3.5 mm headphone output and micro-USB is on the top.

The power button was unexpectedly on the left for me. Usually, this arrangement is convenient for left-handed people. The button is thin, long, almost recessed into the body. It is not very convenient to use. The same type is the volume rocker. She is on the right.

On the back side: camera peephole and flash, deeply recessed into the back cover, speakerphone.

To remove the panel, you must pry it off by the notch on the left.

A slot for a microSD memory card and a microSIM slot (only 2G) - on the left, on the right - miniSIM (2G / 3G).

Display

It uses exactly the same matrix as in Zera S - 4.5 "qHD (540x960 pixels) IPS. The physical size of the display of the first device is 56x99 mm. The frame is 15 mm on top, 17 mm on the bottom, 5.5 mm on the right and left.

The maximum white brightness is 811 cd / m2, the maximum black brightness is 1.17 cd / m2, the contrast is 692: 1.

Judging by the diagram, there is a clear flaw in red, but blue is abundant. Based on the color chart, the coverage is slightly above sRGB (green).

The viewing angles are maximum, but under the slopes the picture goes a little in a purple hue.

In general, for such a device, the screen was pleasantly surprised by its high brightness and excellent viewing angles.

Battery

By the name of the model, one could guess: either there is a powerful processor or a capacious battery. However, given the cost of the Zera S Power, it's easy to understand that this is more about a battery than any cool chipset.

For the life of the phone cares battery with capacity of 4000 mAh. The manufacturer does not share with us the data on the operating time, so we tested it ourselves.

  • Antutu Tester showed about 5000 points
  • Playback of 720p video (MP4) at maximum screen brightness and volume in headphones - approximately 8 hours
  • Browsing via Wi-Fi - about 18 hours
  • Browsing via 3G - about 12 hours
  • The total average operating time of the device (3G, calls, SMS, letters, twitter) is about 27 hours

Despite the fairly good numbers, I still expected more.

For some reason, the kit contains a dead AC adapter that charges the battery up to 100% in about four hours.

Communication capabilities

Everything in this section is typical for any budget Android smartphone. The device operates in 2G (GSM / GPRS / EDGE, 850/900/1800/1900 MHz) and 3G (900/2100 MHz) cellular networks.

Available Bluetooth version 4.0 for file and voice transmission. There is a wireless connection Wi-Fi IEEE 802.11 b / g / n. The smartphone, of course, can be used as an access point (Wi-Fi Hotspot) or modem.

The USB connector operates in Host mode, that is, it is easy to connect, for example, a Flash device to it.

There is a GPS. Its sensitivity is quite good: in the "cold" mode in 20 seconds it finds up to 3 satellites, in a room near a window in 10 seconds - up to 5 satellites, in an open space during the same time - up to 15.

Memory and memory card

1 GB of RAM is built inside. On average, about 600 MB are free.

8 GB of Flash memory is allocated for data storage. Of these, 5-6 GB are available for user needs. There is a slot for a memory card, its maximum capacity is 32 GB.

Camera

Two modules: 5 MP with autofocus and 2 MP front without focusing. There is a flash.

Photo quality is average or below average. Basically, complaints about low detail, a lot of noise, not the most accurate focus. "Frontalka" shoots well enough.

The device records video in FullHD 30 fps. The quality is poor: not sharp, when changing the focus, you can hear how the lenses move, the picture jitters if you quickly change the focus between near and far objects.

Characteristics of a video file with Zera S Power

  • File format: 3GP
  • Video codec: MPEG-4, 17 Mbps
  • Resolution: 1920 x 1080, 30 fps
  • Audio codec: AAC, 128 Kbps
  • Channels: 1 channel, 48 kHz

Sample photos

Performance and software platform

The Highscreen Zera S Power model operates on the MediaTek MT6582 chipset: Cortex-A7, 28 nm, 4 cores at 1.3 GHz, a Mali-400MP2 graphics accelerator with a clock frequency of 400 MHz. We have written about the chip countless times, so I won't repeat it.

Accelerometer(or G-sensor) - sensor of the device's position in space. As a primary function, the accelerometer is used to automatically change the orientation of the display image (vertical or horizontal). Also, the G-sensor is used as a pedometer, it can be controlled by various functions of the device by turning or shaking.
Gyroscope- a sensor that measures the angles of rotation relative to a fixed coordinate system. Able to measure angles of rotation in several planes at the same time. The gyroscope together with the accelerometer allows you to accurately determine the position of the device in space. In devices that use only accelerometers, the measurement accuracy is lower, especially when moving quickly. Also, the capabilities of the gyroscope can be used in modern games for mobile devices.
Light sensor- a sensor, thanks to which the optimal values of brightness and contrast for a given illumination level are established. The presence of the sensor allows you to increase the operating time of the device from the battery.
Proximity sensor- a sensor that detects when the device is close to the face during a call, turns off the backlight and locks the screen, preventing accidental presses. The presence of the sensor allows you to increase the operating time of the device from the battery.
Geomagnetic sensor- a sensor for determining the side of the world to which the device is directed. Tracks the orientation of the device in space relative to the earth's magnetic poles. The information received from the sensor is used in cartographic programs for orientation on the ground.
Atmospheric pressure sensor- sensor for accurate measurement of atmospheric pressure. Part of the GPS system, it allows you to determine the height above sea level and speed up the location.
Touch ID- fingerprint identification sensor.

Satellite navigation:

Gps(Global Positioning System - Global Positioning System) - a satellite navigation system that measures distance, time, speed and determines the location of objects anywhere on Earth. The system is designed, implemented and operated by the US Department of Defense. The main principle of using the system is to determine the location by measuring the distance to the object from points with known coordinates - satellites. The distance is calculated from the signal propagation delay time from its sending by the satellite to being received by the GPS receiver antenna.
GLONASS(Global Navigation Satellite System) - Soviet and Russian satellite navigation system, developed by order of the USSR Ministry of Defense. The measuring principle is similar to the American GPS navigation system. GLONASS is intended for operational navigation and time support of land, sea, air and space-based users. The main difference from the GPS system is that the GLONASS satellites in their orbital motion do not have resonance (synchronization) with the Earth's rotation, which provides them with greater stability.
