  • button and Velcro;
  • gum, it is better to choose the color of the future cover;

We sew a case for a tablet with our own hands

Accessory manufacturing process:

  • Before you start working, make sure that you have scraps of fabric or leather ready in the shape of the tablet, and also cut out 2 cardboard boxes.
  • Now, on each cardboard (you can use thick paper), stick the prepared fabric. Measure a small distance between the received parts, they should look like a book.

  • Then wrap the protruding edges of the fabric and fold them inward. Glue the ends to the cardboard.
  • Take a few strips of fabric and glue them to the corners of your case. It is better to make strips 10-15 cm long and not more than 1 cm wide.

  • Take an elastic band and attach it to the case with glue, they will fix the tablet. At this stage, take the device and try on the case, try to fix it, check if it falls out.
  • Cut out a small piece of fabric and paste it where the cardboard is visible.

  • It remains only to flash the resulting cover along the contour so that it does not disperse during use.
  • The final touch is the clasp for the accessory. Cut off a small piece of fabric and glue it to one side of the cover, and attach Velcro to the other side.

Choose fabrics that won't get dirty quickly.

Retro case

If you want to make an accessory with your own hands, not because you don’t have enough money to buy it in the store, but because you want to distinguish yourself, then this option is right for you! For work you will need:

  • a book that is slightly larger than your device (preferably 2-3 cm);
  • tassel;
  • ruler;
  • glue;
  • stationery knife;
  • rubber.

We begin to make a future retro case from a book:

  1. To begin with, using glue around the entire outer perimeter, coat the pages of a closed book. To prevent the first and last pages from sticking together with the cover, place a sheet.
  2. Find a heavy weight and press down on the book, let it dry well.
  3. After about 2 hours, you can cut out a place for the tablet, for this, give the same distance on each side.
  4. When you have an empty niche, glue the pages in it again.
  5. Turn the book over and glue the elastic at the end, for this you can also cut holes so that it fits snugly. The rubber band will support the tablet.
  6. A closed book can also be fixed with an elastic band.

When choosing materials, start from familiar materials and shapes, make your case unique and unusual.

You will need

  • - thick cardboard;
  • - ruler;
  • - scissors;
  • - pins;
  • - sewing machine;
  • - textile;
  • - elastic band;
  • - threads to match the fabric.

Instruction

Tablets differ from each other not only in models, but also in dimensions. Therefore, before proceeding with the manufacture of the cover, it is necessary to measure the dimensions of the device using a ruler, namely: width, height and length. According to the data obtained, 5 parts should be cut out of cardboard. In the event that cardboard was not found, you can use book covers or chipboard. Sample details correspond to the following parameters: 20x16.5 cm, 20x1 cm, 20x7.5 cm, 20x1 cm and 20x15 cm.

From the selected material, you need to cut 3 rectangular elements. One of them is equal to the size of three pieces of cardboard, the other - the other two, and the last - the size of all combined. When cutting out rectangles, you need to take into account that the seams will require an additional couple of centimeters.

From the elastic tape, cut 4 equal pieces and sew each of them on the corners of the smallest rectangle of fabric. Thus, fasteners will be obtained that will securely fix the tablet in a case made by them.

Next, the resulting part must be connected to the middle rectangle of fabric. The elements must be attached to each other so that the front sides are inside, and sew them on the extreme left side.

On top of the formed part, the largest rectangle should be placed face down inside. Then fasten the sides with pins. Cut a piece of the required size from the elastic tape and insert it between the fixed elements so that it is at the level of the corners. Sew the future tablet case on three sides on a sewing machine.

After the performed operations, it is necessary to turn the part on the front side. In order, put the corresponding cardboard elements into the case. Each of the rectangles must be fixed with machine stitching.

In modern society, new technologies have long appeared that require protection and purity. It’s quite easy to deal with cleanliness, but we need to think about strong protection, because if our new tablet breaks on the very first day of use, we will not be very pleased and even offended. But there is not always enough money to buy not only a tablet of a good company, but also special accessories for it. In this article, you will learn how to make a case for your favorite tablet quickly and easily with your own hands.

Basically, the ideas are quite original and simple. If at first glance it seems to you that the manufacturing instructions are complicated and require extra materials, do not worry. Reread the instructions again and you will understand that there is nothing complicated here, and the materials can be replaced with others that you will like more.

You can, of course, buy a remedy, but at a low price it is unlikely to last long. There are high-quality expensive models, but a case made by yourself will come out much cheaper. After all, although it will require costs, but not so large. And also you will know exactly what it consists of and how it is made.

Understanding the main types of do-it-yourself tablet cases

Simple and interesting option from felt

The simplest method that will not only protect the device from damage, but also retain heat.

For him you will need:

  1. a piece of felt;
  2. Needle;
  3. Dense threads;
  4. Scissors;
  5. Ruler.

We start manufacturing:

First, take the felt, mark two identical contours on it (according to the size of the tablet, plus two centimeters on the sides). Cut carefully, without hitting anything superfluous, along the intended line, then sew: right side, bottom and left side. That's it, cute case is ready. You can decorate with beads, quilling, sheathe with colored threads, draw a picture with paints.

Trying to create a stylish denim case

In addition to ordinary fabrics, showing imagination, you can use something more interesting.

For example, below is an option on how to make a tablet case from jeans . This look will look much more interesting and attractive than felt.

You can immediately go look for old unwanted denim pants, because this way will definitely attract your attention.

For him you will need:

  1. Jeans;
  2. Needle;
  3. Threads;
  4. Awl;
  5. Cardboard;
  6. Lock.

We start manufacturing:

Cut off the top back to fit the tablet to make a book. Stick cardboard on the inside. Using an awl, make holes on the sides (do not touch the top!), Then sew the sides. From above, if desired, you can sew a lock so that the device does not fall out. And, of course, decorate with decor.

Ready! Now you have not only a case for a tablet computer, but also two pockets for small things.

Elegant leather case for all times

Well, in addition to fabrics, the most elegant at all times was and will be leather. Consider the following version of a protective and attractive cover.

For him you will need:

  1. Leather cloth;
  2. Strong cardboard;
  3. Non-slip fabric;
  4. Glue (preferably transparent);
  5. Needle;
  6. Strong threads;
  7. Scissors;
  8. Pencil or pen;
  9. Ruler;
  10. A pair of rubber bands;
  11. Awl;
  12. Plastic;
  13. A piece of soap or remnant.

We start manufacturing:

We cut out two identical parts from cardboard, measuring the dimensions of the tablet and adding one centimeter - this will be the base. Round off two corners with scissors. We divide one of the parts with a ruler into two parts. Then cut off a line of 0.5 centimeters.

Glue three finished parts on plastic. Next, iron the fabric well and glue the details on its wrong side so that the plastic is at the top. This is done as follows: first, the largest part is glued, with rounded corners to the left, mark the upper and lower strips with soap (so that the remaining parts go smoothly), retreating 1.5 centimeters, glue the detail with right angles and, retreating another 0.3 centimeters, glue the rest, rounded corners to the right.

Leaving one centimeter around the edges, carefully cut the fabric. We wrap the edges and glue inward. We glue elastic bands to the large part at the corners, and sew a leather cloth on the outside. From above we attach a clip that will hold the case itself when it is in a standing position.

Now you know that sewing a leather tablet case is not difficult, you just need additional funds.

At first glance, it seems that these ideas are completely unoriginal and useless. But don't judge like that without trying it. First, try to do all these three types, the result will surely surprise you. And even if you don’t like it, knowing already some options, you can come up with instructions yourself, with the help of your imagination.

Successful needlework and pleasant surprises!

Having bought a tablet, many people think about a case in order to keep their purchase in excellent condition.

Choosing Case for tablet, I want to dress it up in a good, high-quality and comfortable folder case. And if the tablet is used for communication, meetings with clients, various materials are printed, then a folder-case with a built-in keyboard is very useful here!
Such a cover is quite simple to sew on your own. And then the tablet will be dressed in an exclusive.

In order to sew Case for tablet(7 inches) you will need:

1. Fabric
2. Cardboard
3. Foam rubber or synthetic winterizer
4. Scissors
5. Stationery knife
6. Braid, inlay, elastic
7. Velcro or riveting
8. Ruler
9. Threads, clasp

Step one:
Before you start sewing the cover, you need to make a stencil. To do this, circle the tablet on a piece of paper. It will look like this:

The distance between the two halves must be at least 2 cm.

Step two:
Using a stencil, you need to mark and cut out two halves from cardboard. Cardboard needs to be taken denser. In this example, a box was used. Each of the halves must be at least the size of the tablet. You can trim the bumps on the cardboard with a clerical knife.

Step three:
Now you need to cut out 3 rectangles measuring 32 × 23 cm, two of them from fabric and one from padding polyester.

I would like to give a little advice on choosing a fabric: you can use any fabric for the front side that you like, but inside tablet case you should choose a fabric that does not slip (cotton fabric is best). You can also use draped fabric, then you do not need a synthetic winterizer.

Step four:

You need to take the braid, attach it to the cut out fabric and mark where the Velcro will be. Then sew the Velcro to the braid. It should turn out like this:

Then the finished braid must be sewn to the fabric that will be the front.

Step five:
Take the fabric that will be inside the case, attach a tablet (you can use a prepared stencil) and outline the location of the rubber bands. You can mark the places of the elastic bands or sweep it, or you can glue it with PVA glue. It will look like this:

An elastic band can be made, as shown in the example, or made into a solid strip on top.
Having fixed the elastic bands, we apply the braid between the halves of the cover and fix it:

The braid in the middle will secure the elastic and hide its edges. Now you need to check if everything is fixed evenly (elastic bands and braid), then we sew the braid on a typewriter.
Step six:
The last step will be to connect everything. You need to put the front fabric, then in the middle of the synthetic winterizer, and on top of the inner fabric, stitch or sweep three fabrics from three sides: two sides and bottom. Insert cardboard between the inner fabric and the synthetic winterizer from above (two halves were cut out of the box). The cardboard should not be visible from the fabric. Then attach the tablet and see if there is anything superfluous anywhere. If everything is in order, then you can sew on the inlay. It serves as a edging and gives a finished look.

Here is our ready Case for tablet without spending a lot of time or money.

The cover can be used not only as protection for the tablet, but also as a stand.
