I am writing for those who have never ordered fabrics and accessories online. To be honest, I myself have been circling this topic for quite some time. I understood that this way I could get materials that I wouldn’t find in stores, even in such a large city as Yekaterinburg. But for some reason I was afraid that it would be difficult, long, and that I needed to figure it out.

In short, the kind of instructions I am writing would have helped me a lot in my time :). I hope it will be useful to someone too.

I order fabrics on the forum of the Osinka.ru website, in the “Club” section - the “Collective Purchasing” forum (another name for it is “Goods for Handicrafts”).

Thus, you can buy fabrics that, as I already said, you cannot buy in regular stores even in large cities, not to mention small towns and villages. By the way, it was the move to the village that made me step up my efforts and shop in Osinka :). In the village there is a very small selection of fabrics and accessories, and they are almost 2 times more expensive than in cities. (I can’t speak for the whole of Russia, I’m writing only about my experience).

On Osinka you can buy: a variety of cotton knitwear (cash-corse, knitted stitch, etc.), dress and shirt fabrics, fleece in stunning colors, raincoat fabrics, insulation, and much more. There are a variety of colors, very beautiful. You can also buy a variety of accessories and...

In addition, there is a large selection of materials for knitting and other needlework. And also OTTOBRE magazines (with wonderful models and patterns).

Another important factor is prices. They are quite acceptable, sometimes even cheaper than in stores.

There is only one minus. When you go to the store, buy fabric and it is already in your hands. Do what you want with it :). When purchasing online, you choose, pay, and then you have to wait for the package.

On the “Goods for Handicrafts” (or “Collective Purchasing”) forum there is a large selection of “shop” topics, that is, those from whom you can order materials.

Choose who you like best. The criteria may be: geographical location (in your city or nearby, so that you can spend less on postage and the parcel arrives faster), availability of the desired product and colors, prices, how trustworthy it is, etc.

In the selected “store” theme, you choose which materials to buy. Check with the organizers about its availability. And you order.

Each topic contains detailed instructions on the ordering and payment procedure. Read it carefully. You will need to indicate the selected material and its quantity, your postal address (if you are not picking it up in person), and other nuances.

Communication takes place through correspondence on the forum or personal messages.

Delivery is carried out by Russian Post and transport companies of your choice. If the purchase organizers live in your city or nearby, you can pick it up at a personal meeting.

In general, all this is described in detail in the ordering instructions. It also describes how you can pay. Choose the most suitable method. We pay postage ourselves.

When calculating the required amount of fabric, pay attention to the width and method of folding the fabric. The fabric can be in a roll, in which case the full width of the fabric is indicated, for example: 130 cm; or 150 cm; or 180 cm. Or “stocking” - this refers to knitwear. In this case, it is indicated: “Pack”, and written like this: for example: 75x2. In this folding method, the material is folded in half, there are no edges, and there are folds along the edges, like a large stocking.

The procurement organizers are sociable and friendly (at least who I spoke with). So, do not be afraid to ask and clarify anything that is not clear.

Joint purchases (SP). General concepts

Joint purchasing is an organized purchase of any items from a wholesale company at wholesale prices. This means that the product is selected by the client directly from the supplier’s website (or from a scan of the catalog if the company does not have a website) and is purchased strictly according to the “client’s” order.

Terms and Definitions
JV (joint purchase) - the principle of organizing a purchase in which several individuals join together in a group to purchase goods at a better price.

Organizer of the joint venture- the person who takes upon himself the organization of the joint venture. This is simply an intermediary between the company and you. The organizer does not set prices for goods, does not produce or sell anything. It simply helps you purchase products at discounted prices.

Org% - an amount of money that is voluntarily transferred by the participant to the organizer of the joint venture in addition to the cost of the order. It includes the labor costs of the JV Organizer. Sometimes the organizer immediately includes transportation costs, % for bank transfer, etc. All this is always indicated and clearly stated by the organizer.

Annex- goods purchased in the joint venture, which for some reason did not suit the Participant, and which he wants to sell. Also, an Addendum can be formed by the Organizer if the Organizer bought items with his own money to close the Purchase.

Minimum order amount (minimum) The amount that must be collected in order to buy the product at a wholesale price. Each purchase has its own min. the amount set by the supplier (NOT the organizer!!!).

STOP - this is the point in time (specific date and time) when the minimum order amount is reached. After STOP, you do not have the right to refuse your order and are required to make payment for the goods within the specified time frame.

Emergency - Black List, which includes Participants who have severely violated the rules of the joint venture. This list is necessary to warn other Organizers and Participants. A participant in an emergency will be denied participation in most (or all) procurements.

Row/Closed Row In some purchases, goods are purchased only in rows, i.e., for example: to buy a T-shirt in size 80, you need to find other Participants who want to purchase the same T-shirt in sizes 86, 92 and 98. If there are Participants for each product in the Row, the Row is called "Closed."
The range can be sized (i.e. the package contains the same model, 1 piece of each size).
Therefore, we collect rows, that is, we sign up for the size we need in a row for the model we like.
And there may be a “range in size” (that is, the goods are shipped in packages of several pieces, usually 5 pieces of the same size). In this case, it is also necessary to find a willing buyer for each unit of goods.

Re-grading - this is when another item arrives instead of the ordered item. Re-grading by color within the same article is not considered a re-grading. The organizer warns about the occurrence of such situations, then all risks fall on the participant, since he agreed with this state of affairs.
In some purchases (most often knitwear for the home or children's assortment), the model on the website is a sample and is sewn in different color options (in assortment) or finishing/pattern. May differ from the sample in the catalog (unless each specific color is assigned its own article number). Therefore, re-sorting by color is not considered a defect and cannot be exchanged!

Additional order - the opportunity for procurement participants or newcomers to procurement to place an order after STOP has been announced. This refers to a preliminary STOP, after which reconciliation is carried out, but the order has not yet been sent to the supplier. Most often, additional orders are found in procurement, where goods are collected in rows.

JV stages
1) Collection of orders. The terms depend on the minimum amount, usually no less than a week.
2)
STOP. Invoicing. The organizer processes your orders and calculates the total amount. Draws up a general application and sends it to the company, makes replacements, etc. This usually takes 1-2 days.
3)
Payment . The organizer writes specific deadlines within which you must pay for your order. Usually 1-2 days.
4)
Shipment of goods. The time during which the company completes the order and sends it to the shopping center for further dispatch to the organizer. The timing depends only on the supplier. This could be three days or a week.
5)
Delivery. The time the goods are in transit (from the company to the organizer). On average it takes 7-10 days.
6)
Parsing orders. The time during which the organizer sorts the received goods and completes your parcels. According to the rules of our group, this is at least 10 days, but usually the organizers handle it faster.
7)
Newsletter. The time when the organizer sends your packages. Depends on many circumstances (availability of packaging, postal service), from 1 to 10 days.
8)
Return of change . After sending all parcels, the final payment is made between the organizer and participants.
At each stage of the joint venture, force majeure circumstances are possible on both sides.

Now about each stage in detail
1)Collection of orders
~If you clearly decide to participate in this purchase, carefully read all the conditions!!! What should you pay attention to first?
*when there is STOP and you need to pay for the order. If you need an item by a specific date, or you will only have money by a certain date, this is very important!
* possibility of re-grading.
* terms of delivery to you (TC or mail)
~Be sure to visit the topic at least once a day and check the news. Often, organizers indicate the current stage right in the name of the purchase.

2)STOP.
~Once STOP is announced, you do not have the right to refuse your order, this may lead to the disruption of the entire purchase.
~Additional order is possible. Such points are described in the conditions of a specific purchase.
~If you are participating in a purchase with collection of rows, then you can refuse, but only by finding a person who agrees to buy your order instead of you
~Wait for the organizer to issue you an invoice for payment. This is not always done in a personal message. Check the topic, follow the news.
3)Payment
~A certain period of time is always given for payment of an order. It cannot be violated, it threatens to be included in the emergency situation. If some circumstances prevent you from paying within the specified time frame, but you intend to redeem your order, write to the organizer.
~Payment is made to the organizer’s card, the number of which and all the necessary details he provides. You can pay either from card to card, through an operator at a bank, etc. The main thing is to keep the payment receipt until the organizer receives your money!

~The organizers ask participants to unsubscribe that you have paid for your order. This must be done in the form

As soon as the organizer has received the goods, he begins to disassemble them. The organizer will provide you with all information on incoming orders either in the topic or in a personal message.
~Make sure you leave your address again.
~Think carefully about the assessment of your parcels and write to the organizer.
The estimated cost of the parcel is the amount that the post office will return to you if your parcel is lost. You set the amount (just write to the organizer “estimate 100 rubles”). But when choosing, be sure to keep in mind that the post office charges 4% of this amount when sending the parcel.
