AllShare setup. Samsung Allshare and other DLNA-enabled programs. AllShare Setup - Connect your TV to your computer. Official Allshare PC media server. We combine all home Samsung`s into one network How to set up allshare samsung on a laptop

Modern phones are on par in terms of power with not the newest computers. However, due to the small display, it can be difficult to reveal the full potential. In this case, the function of connecting the phone to the TV comes to our aid. On it, you can relay a picture from your phone while watching your favorite movies, photos, or even just exploring the world wide web or going through applications. In this case, you need to know how to properly connect the phone to the TV, which we'll talk about today.

HDMI connector is our best friend

The simplest, but at the same time effective way to connect is via an HDMI cable. To do this, as you might have guessed, you need not much, not a little, the appropriate connector on your smartphone and TV, as well as an HDMI cable. Often, the phones themselves have a mini-HDMI or micro-HDMI connector, which is done solely to save free space, and is not displayed in any way at the data transfer rate. The process of synchronizing your phone and TV is simple to the point of impossibility, and there are a lot of benefits from it:

  • Turn off both devices, connect them with an HDMI cable, and then turn them on again
  • Using the menu device of the TV, select the signal display source - HDMI (the names may vary slightly depending on the brand of the TV manufacturer)
  • We enjoy the result!

In this case, the TV will display both video and audio. Having a good audio system available, you can fully enjoy the surround sound of your favorite music from your phone. And browsing the Internet goes to a whole new level, because, you see, no 4, 5 or even 6 inches of a phone screen can compare with the diagonal of a home TV.

Good old USB

Everyone is familiar with the USB connector ... And here it could not have done without it. However, it is worth noting that if you use the USB connection method, your phone will perform the banal function of a flash drive. However, in this case, watching movies on a TV is much more convenient than on a phone display. The process of connecting a phone to a TV via USB is not much different from HDMI. We connect one end of a special cable to the phone - the other to the TV. It is also recommended to turn off both devices beforehand. In this case, automatic setup will occur, and you do not have to personally delve into the menu interface of the TV.

Use of wireless technology

The era of wires is leaving for centuries, and they are being replaced by wireless technologies, which also affected the process of connecting a phone to a TV. Home appliance giants such as LG and Samsung have released software that allows you to sync their mobile products with TVs, as long as they both have built-in Wi-Fi, of course. To do this, just connect both devices to your home network and run the necessary program. Smart Share and AllShare for LG and Samsung respectively. Those who are not lucky enough to become one of the owners of products of these brands should not immediately despair. If both of your devices support

  • We perform the same operation, only on the TV. The Wi-Fi Direct function is usually easy to find in the Network tab of the TV menu
  • We find the phone in the list of detected devices and send a request for synchronization
  • Using the phone, we accept the request and begin to enjoy all the fruits of using Wi-Fi Direct

  • The ability to connect a smartphone to your TV is a huge plus, because in this case it is a pleasure to use it. Large screen, loud speakers, user-friendly interface. The process itself is not complicated a priori, and after reading this article, we believe you should not have any questions at all about how to connect your phone to a TV.

How to display the image from the smartphone screen on the monitor

In one of the previous articles, we talked about and examined in detail the wifi settings for Sony, Samsung and Lg TVs.

Here we will talk about ways to connect your phone (smartphone / tablet) to a TV to transfer images and watch video files in good quality.

It should be noted right away that all functions are tied to the technical capabilities of the device: you should not make equal demands on modern flagships and devices that are currently technically outdated.

So, now directly about how to connect and make settings for broadcasting video from your phone to a TV.

How to connect phone to tv via wifi?

    1. 1. You can use the Wi-Fi Direct function to watch movies from your phone on your TV. The capabilities of this technology extend to:
    • - transfer between devices of multimedia files and their playback;
    • - broadcasting the image from the phone screen to the TV using Miracast technology.

However, synchronization of the phone with the TV via Wi-Fi is possible only if both devices support Wi-Fi Direct technology: if the devices are equipped with this function, you can proceed directly to setting up the connection.

So, to display a picture from the phone to the TV, you should:

A). Connect to the TV by manually entering the name and password of the wireless network:

    • - on the TV, go to the tab "Settings" - "Wi-Fi Direct";
    • - then "Option" or "Parameters" (depending on the TV model) - "Manually" (Manually);
    • - specify the name and password for the network being created (for safety, it is better to write down this data);
    • - in the smartphone settings, go to the "wifi" section, in the search find the wireless network created in the previous step and connect to it by entering the password (security key).

B). Or connect your phone using automatic setup with:

    • - in the same way, go to the “Wi-Fi Direct” settings on the TV;
    • - in the "Parameters" subsection, select the network, click "WPS" and wait for synchronization between devices.

Such connection is carried out quickly, simply and takes a minimum of time. But what if the "magic" function "Wi-Fi Direct" is not provided?

How to connect phone to tv via hdmi?

    1. 2. You can also output video from your phone using a wired connection "micro HDMI - HDMI" or "mini HDMI-HDMI".

It is logical that an “HDMI” cable is used for such a connection - this is a standard connector for a TV (while “micro” or “mini” connectors are provided for a smartphone).

Depending on the technical capabilities of the device, it may be necessary to install third-party software.

To transfer an image, you only need to connect the devices with the aforementioned cable and select the appropriate “HDMI 1” or “HDMI 2” mode on the TV (according to the connector into which the cable was connected).

How to connect phone to tv via usb?

    1. 3. If the devices are equipped with MHL (Mobile High-Definition Link) support, you can use a micro USB to HDMI cable.

This option is more interesting because:

    • - power is supplied to the phone via the same cable, which avoids battery discharge at the climax of an interesting movie (and this problem is very relevant, because when watching video files it is easy to forget about the device's charge level);
    • - allows you to receive control signals from the remote control.

It is also worth paying attention to the competitor of the MHL standard - Slimport, which has become quite widely used in LG and Nexus gadgets.

The cable for such a connection remains the same - "microUSB - HDMI".

Other ways to watch a movie from your phone on your TV

    1. 4. You can use Lightning Digital AV Adapter to connect Apple brand devices.

Connection comes down to a simple connection of devices through the appropriate connectors: on a smartphone it is “Lightning”, on a TV it is “HDMI”.

    1. 5. Some manufacturers of TVs and smartphones are equipped with proprietary synchronization technologies: this is Samsung with its AllShare or LG with Smart Share.

Setting up a connection usually comes down to minimal steps on your part:

    • - registration of an account and a file-sharing resource;
    • - and, in fact, moving files to a kind of file hosting.

Thus, connecting a TV to a phone usually comes down to an elementary connection of devices with a cable and a few manipulations in the settings using the remote control.

However, at present, wireless connection is more relevant, which shifts the outdated cable connection "to the background", therefore - with an eye to the future - it is worth paying attention to modern wireless standards.

AllShare technology wirelessly syncs Samsung PCs, laptops and mobile phones to your TV, allowing you to stream content, view tabs, and view call and text messages on your TV screen.

Synchronizing your phone and SMART TV

Synchronization of devices occurs through the built-in Wi-Fi module in the phone and the built-in or optional Wi-Fi module in LED TVs. Thus, two devices can exchange information with each other. To sync devices, you need to run the application AllShare bilaterally. The name of the phone will appear on the TV screen in the list of external media. By pressing the "Enter" button, you can turn on the function mediaplay with the following set of options: "Video", "Photo", "Music" and "Recorded TV shows". It remains only to select the desired file.

You can also use your phone to play media files on a TV screen located on your PC's hard drive. To do this, in the AllShare menu of your phone, select "Play file from the server on another player", which will allow you to access the media content shared from the PC.

Ways to share multimedia content from a computer to a TV

    • installing a special program that will open Wi-Fi access to your multimedia files:
    • using Windows Media Player on Windows7

Options for connecting a TV and PC on a home network

    1. Computer - TV(or other media device).
A crossover type network cable must be used for connection.
    2. Computer - Switch (switch) - TV(or other media device).
    3. Computer - Router - TV(or other media device).
To connect devices, it is necessary to use network cables crimped in a straight way.

How to set up Windows Media Player to play content from your phone on your TV screen

In Windows Media Player, you need to go to Flow and enable the following options - Allow remote control of the player And Automatically allow devices to play my media, then go to More streaming options and allow transmission on the network by clicking on the link on the required device Tune and highlight Make all library items available to this device. To transfer multimedia content, you need to synchronize your PC and Phone using Wi-Fi, as a result, when you click on the phone Play a file from the server on another player, the name of the PC will appear, clicking on it will open the content from the Windows Media Player library. Now media content can be played and downloaded to the phone.

    Samsung Allshare allows you to:

    • save or transfer shared media content to a computer or other devices
    • play shared media content on a computer or other devices
    • view or play shared media content stored on a computer from another device
    • browse or search for shared content stored on connected devices

Attention! Don't forget to configure your antivirus and firewall to allow media access. If you use Samsung PC Share Manager, then create a rule for it or add it to exceptions.

Connecting Samsung TV to PC (directly)

    1. Turn on TV and PC
    2. Connect them with a network cable (crossover crimp)
    3. Write down the addresses for the computer and TV. In the properties of the local connection to PC enter address: 192.168.1.1 , and on TV: 192.168.1.2 . Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0 on both devices. An alternative connection method would be to use a switch, using network cables crimped in a direct (conventional) way.
    4. Run the program Samsung PC Share Manager and follow the steps in sequence:
    • Find the folder containing the content you want to share
    • Click on the button on top (with a green checkmark), thus opening access to this folder to the TV
    • Next, follow the menu: "Sharing" - "Set Device Policy". Set the device to "accepted" status. Then click "Set State" (green arrow), thereby saving the changes.
    • Now it remains to press the "Media player" button on the remote control and select the video file from the PC.

Using the Home Media Server program

Finding the server on the device used to play content

The search must be performed according to the user manual of the media device (for example, your TV manual). If the server is not found and all connections are made correctly, then in the program settings (in the Server) check that the list of allowed client devices is empty or that the device's IP address is in the list of allowed ones. When using a network protection program (firewall, antivirus), check its rules for the module hms.exe(if the server is running as a Windows service, then for the module hmsvc.exe), if possible, put the firewall software into learning mode, restart the Home Media Server (UPnP) software. And if you use other media servers, disable them while setting up the Home Media Server program.

The server does not open on the device for playback

If the server is found, but there is no way to open it in the media device, then go to the settings of the "Home media server (UPnP)" program in the section Device: "DLNA 1.0?" Server set the server's constant port (from 1024 to 65535).

Navigating the media resource base on a media device

If the device supports the Russian language, then in the program settings (section Device) turn on the mode "Russian names of the main folders", this affects the names of the main folders of the media content database. If the Russian language is not supported by the media device, then select the “Transliteration” mode for encoding Russian names, the “Russian names of the main folders” mode is turned on / off at the request of the user (if it is off, then there will be English names of the main folders of media resources).

Slow navigation through the media content database may be due to the peculiarities of the media device, the inclusion of the "Exclude empty folders when transferring information to UPnP devices" mode, the presence of slow removable media in the system, frequent changes in media resource directories and the enabled "Automatic scanning of directories" mode. when they change while the server is running. The "Exclude empty folders when transferring information to UPnP devices" mode can be turned off, the "Removable media" folder can be deleted in all sections of media resources (Movies, Music, Photos).

Navigation through the directories of media resources in the structure of their storage on disk can be done through the folder "Watch Folders" (Russian language is turned off), "Catalogs of media resources" (Russian language is included). If some media content is not visible on the device, but is shared in the program, then this may be due to the mime type transmitted by the server for this media resource. The mime type can be changed in the program settings - the Settings button - the "Media Resources" section - "File Types" - the choice of file extension - the Change button.

Samsung AllShare may not be as popular and technically advanced as Apple's AirPlay, but it is widely used for wireless sharing of multimedia content between devices proudly bearing the logo of the famous South Korean giant on their board.

    What it is?

With this function, you can easily view videos or photos on the big TV screen taken just a few minutes ago by the on-board camera of your smartphone, as well as listen to your favorite musical compositions. And for this, you will need very little effort: just a few clicks on the necessary buttons.

This feature potentially allows you to share files between desktop computers, phones, TVs and tablets, but the easiest way is to provide communication between Galaxy smartphones (for example, S II or S III) and proprietary Smart TV receivers. The fact is that the All Share module is already built into these devices, so you can exchange media content between them without additional purchase of hardware and installation of special software.

If you're one of those lucky ones, it won't take you long to set up a wireless connection, after which you can enjoy watching your family photos or videos on a huge screen in your living room.

Hello my dear. In this article we will "gut" the media server Allshare PC, which is an official development from the manufacturer Samsung for their devices.

Although, to be honest, you won’t have to talk for a long time, it’s very simple and accessible, this application has been implemented. The functionality is quite simple and ascetic. In principle, we said the same thing about this media server.

But on the other hand, it performs its main function, transferring files from a computer to a TV, well, and what else does an ordinary user need.

Of course, Allshare PC cannot fully compete with its counterparts, such as and, but it also has features on board that the above competitors do not have.

For example, the application supports working with a "cloud" data storage service SugarSync and can interact with Android mobile devices, thereby linking all your electronic pets into one media network. But, first things first, let's start the story.

At the beginning, it is worth noting that at this point in time, the Allshare PC application as such is no longer there. It was mainly used on earlier models of the company's devices. Now the program has been upgraded and renamed to Samsung Link.

But by and large, little has changed in functionality. That is why, for a better understanding of the essence of this technology, watch a short video clip:

Well, first you need to download the media server itself from the link from here. Now it needs to be installed. The process itself is standard, there should be no problems:

Another way to do this is to right-click on the application icon in the system tray and select "Launch Samsung Allshare":

A window will open in front of you, in which the "Connection Wizard" will prompt you to start setting up the media server. I think this is not a very convenient option, so click the "Cancel" button:

By the way, at this step, be sure to turn on all the Samsung devices that you want to combine into and run Allshare (Samsung Link) clients on them. The media server on your computer will detect them and ask you for permission to add them:

So, let's not be distracted, we continue the setup. Now follow the path "Tools - Settings":

Here you need to specify the folders on your computer where your audio-video-photo files are stored that you want to make available for viewing on the TV screen:

In the next step, go to the "Privilege Settings" tab to allow or deny certain devices access to the Allshare PC media server:

If you go to the "Server" tab, you can see how your computer with the installed program will be displayed on other home network devices:

Well, in general, and all the settings. As you can see, everything is very simple and understandable even for a beginner. And now we turn to the most interesting, we will start the whole thing into work. In short, we move from words to deeds.

So, first let's see video from computer to tv. There are two ways to do this. Consider the first, the easiest. Everything is done in a couple of button presses on the TV remote control.

Turn on the TV and press the "Source" button on the remote control. In the list that opens, select your Allshare PC media server:

Now choose the type of content you want. We will watch the video:

After a couple of simple steps, we get to the desired video and here you are, look:

When you press the "Tools" button on the remote control, a menu opens in which time rewind, resizing the picture and much more are available. Study all the points carefully.

By the way, in the video in the screenshot above, it is shown how the puppies of my beloved dog Hati, which I mentioned, eat their mother's milk. I remember it was fun when she brought them in as many as eight pieces, they barely managed to give them to good hands. 🙂

Now let's talk about the second way to view computer content on TV. To do this, open the Smart Hub menu and select the Allshare (Samsung Link) item there:

Run it and in the menu that opens, click on the media server icon again:

In principle, at this step, we have analyzed the main functions of the program in detail. Now it's safe to say that you know how download and configure Allshare PC media server.

But the article does not end there. There is another interesting point worth mentioning. Namely, this is the ability of the application to work with the "cloud" file storage service SugarSync:

The purpose of this feature is that you can upload multimedia files to the Internet and view them on the big screen of your Samsung Smart TV. I think this is an interesting feature that deserves special attention.

But we will not talk about SugarSync in detail in this article now, since this is a topic that requires a separate detailed consideration. Therefore, in the future, we will definitely return to it, so as not to miss interesting information.

And now, we can sum up. What can be said in conclusion about Allshare PC. Very easy to set up and use program. If you are not a very sophisticated user, then consider this option seriously.

In addition, we must remember that due to the presence of a mobile version, this media server allows you to significantly expand the range of Samsung devices working in the same media network.

On this, if something was not clear, I ask in the comments to the article. We will answer everyone, we will not offend anyone.

AllShare Samsung is a media server on your network. If you need to play files from one computer on all devices on the network, then this software is perfect for you.

Despite the fact that the application is no longer officially supported, you can still download AllShare Samsung for free for Windows 7, 8 and 10 from the link below right after the description.

The principle of data transfer is carried out according to the DLNA protocol. But your devices can be connected both via Wi-fi and via a local network. A server program is installed on your personal computer from which multimedia data will be played.

AllShare Play is just a player that is built into the main program.

In turn, the client program is installed on the client equipment, on which the image or music will be displayed. On Samsung Smart TVs, the program is preinstalled by the manufacturer. Installing and configuring the server is done in a few steps.

The first time you launch the product, it will offer you visual help in setting it up. But at this stage there are some nuances. On the right side of the interface is a list of devices that store data. That is, not only your PC, but also other network devices can act as a data source. Before adding a folder to play files in it, go to tools-> settings and check the box next to allow your device to connect automatically. To add a folder, press + and select a folder.

AllShare Samsung download for Windows 10, 8 and 7 is possible for free from the official website in Russian using the links below immediately after the characteristics of the utility.

After that, select a file (or several) and in the lower left corner click "play to" and select a device for playback. The program will go to the playback interface, where you can easily manage the playback file. If this is a photo, you can turn on a slideshow, if this is a video, you can pause or rewind to the right moment at any moment, and also switch to the next file in the playlist.

    • Now it remains to press the “Media player” button on the remote control and select the video file from the PC.

If you are one of the lucky owners of these devices, but the whole setup of the wireless channel will not take you much time.

Let's look at the instructions for setting up file sharing step by step.

    We set up your smartphone.

Setting up on a Galaxy S3 smartphone

The first thing you need to check is connecting your smartphone and TV to a shared Wi-Fi wireless network. And of course synchronization. Otherwise, you simply will not be able to establish a connection between them, and as a result, broadcast content.

    1. We go to the main menu of the smartphone.
    2. We perform a sequential transition to the tabs "Settings" and "Additional settings".
    3. Next, go to "Available Devices".
    4. And lastly, you need to activate the "Data Exchange" item.

We turn on the AllShare application, which is in the general list of preinstalled programs. If this function is activated for the first time, then you will be asked to go through a simple registration procedure, in other words, to create a personal account. If you have previously used this application, then in order to log in, you just need to enter your login in the special fields, that is, your email address and, accordingly, your personal password.

    Setting up a smart TV

We turn on the device using the corresponding button and activate a special service called Smart Hub, which allows you to manage various types of multimedia applications.

We find and activate an application called AllShare Play. In order to log in, you need to press the red button located on the remote control and marked with the letter A. In the window that appears, we write down all the data that is necessary to successfully log into your account.

Set up the exchange of multimedia content between two devices.

Further actions depend on which device we choose as the base one.

We use Samsung SmartTV as the base device.

In this case, we put the smartphone aside for now, and we will view and listen to all the media material that is stored in its memory using the smart TV interface. The technology used in the "DLNA" home network allows you to view and manage data from your smartphone's memory using a TV remote control.

The user is only required to select one of the proposed categories (photo, video or music), and then confirm (select) his smartphone in the list of available devices. If everything is done correctly, the multimedia files of this category will appear on the TV display.

If you have a high-quality wireless connection, then the content will be broadcast to the receiving device, that is, the TV, stably and quickly. To view photos, the user can use the sequential scrolling function or the preset functions of the TV (slide show, rotation and additional effects).

During the playback of music tracks, the cover of the corresponding album appears on the screen, the program itself can play the entire playlist or only selected music. The entire library is managed using the Tools button.

    Basic device - smartphone

This method is most often used to view multimedia files on a large screen. To achieve data link stability, you need to first log into your account on two devices and achieve a good Wi-Fi connection between them.

In order to send content to a SMART TV, you must activate a specific file on your smartphone. A special symbol should appear in the upper right corner - the monitor icon, which should signal that the file you have selected can be transferred to an external device - the receiver. After clicking on the icon, the file translation starts automatically.

While watching content, your smartphone can be used as a remote control. It's worth noting that if you're not yet the proud owner of a Samsung SmartTV, you can use all of the Galaxy's wireless data transfer features to a simple LCD TV. To make this possible, you need to purchase a special AllShare Cas wireless adapter and simply connect it to your TV. After successfully setting up the connection between the two devices, you will be able to view all the content on the big screen.

Samsung AllShare may not be as popular and technically advanced as Apple's AirPlay, but it is widely used for wireless sharing of multimedia content between devices proudly bearing the logo of the famous South Korean giant on their board.

    What it is?

With this function, you can easily view videos or photos on the big TV screen taken just a few minutes ago by the on-board camera of your smartphone, as well as listen to your favorite musical compositions. And for this, you will need very little effort: just a few clicks on the necessary buttons.

This feature potentially allows you to exchange files between desktop computers, phones, TVs and tablets, but the easiest way is to provide communication between Galaxy smartphones (for example, S II or S III) and branded Smart TV receivers.

AllShare wirelessly syncs Samsung PCs, laptops and mobile phones to your TV for streaming content, tab browsing, call information,...
